| How do you play a tremolo?? Hey, I need to be able to play a good tremolo on the piano for a piece I'm working on for an accompaniment assignment. The problem I'm running into is that I can do the tremolo pretty well when there are only two notes involved (somewhat like a spread out trill), but when there are three or more notes involved (like a chord played with tremolo), I just can't seem to get my fingers to hit at the right times or on the right notes. The middle note ends up being a pivot for the other two notes of the chord. Anybody have any advice??
In His love,
Nate

| I have the right to a stupid answer...
You're too picky!! No one cares if your playing doesn't fall exactly on beat with the trem, lol

| *sigh* cockroaches *sigh*
Unlike my other thread yesterday, this one is actually serious. Any pianists out there care to take a shot at it for me?

| Is it an option to two-hand it?

| Piano??? huh?? what's a piano? this is a guitar site....
Anyway, i'm assuming a tremelo on piano is the same as on guitar to where you play the notes pretty much as fast as you can. If you're having a hard time with the timing, trying slowing it down a little bit (or a lot) thinking of it triplets. Then gradually speed up. If it's just the speed that's troubling you, just keep practicing. As far as hitting the right notes, i can't really help since i'm not really a pianist.

When I tried doing it the first couple times, I started pretty much at a performance tempo. So, I guess I should try it much slower and see what happens.
Thanks.

| Or if you have freakish feet (and trust me, I know some people who do), you could play with the ol' toes if you needed to. But hey, logic coulda' told you that!
