(NASHVILLE, TENN.) January 17, 2003 – Ardent Records’ top rock band, Skillet, received a Dove nomination this week from the Gospel Music Association. The band’s third consecutive No. 1 hit single, “Vapor,” from Skillet’s best selling 2001 release, Alien Youth, was honored with a nod in the “Hard Music Recorded Song” category.
Receiving two Dove nominations last year for “Modern Rock/Alternative Album of the Year” and “Rock Recorded Song of the Year,” for its No. 1 song, “Alien Youth,” this year’s nomination marks the third for Skillet’s fastest-selling album to date.
As Alien Youth continues to garner accolades, Skillet’s recently-releases radio single, “Will You Be There,” makes its debut on R&R’s Top 30 Rock Chart this week.
