| BTW, N1ghthawk, have you viewed any Kubrick movies? I definately recommend any of his stuff to help expand your growing film taste. Probably shouldn't start with "Barry Lyndon" though. |

If you are going to put a bawdy comedy on the list, American Pie should be on there.
| Blech. American Pie was just too crude for me. After about 15 minutes, I turned it off. Quote: Zooropa:

| Not that I know of. I'll get 2001 as soon as I can (that is a Kubrick film, right?). |

I don't remember most of Road Trip, for good reason too I'd say, but I thought it followed the same kind of crude humor. At least American Pie was funny. and what the heck happened at the end? Did she or did she not see the video? I can honestly say this was my worst movie going experience ever. Well, maybe not worse than "200 Cigarettes" |

Please don't tell me FMJ is a Kubrick film. I hated FMJ. No, I abhored FMJ. No, I loathed FMJ with all my being. In fact, I couldn't even sit through more than about half an hour of it before I turned it off. If FMJ is a Kubrick film, then I am absolutely hopeless in becoming an art-film snob/prick. | I'd say so, yes. Road Trip did follow much of the sexually oriented humor, but it wasn't as ongoing. There were quite a few nice breaks from the crudeness (such as the bridge jumping scene, which, in itself was worth the price of admission, if you ask me). American Pie seemed to be just sex sex sex through the whole film. Honestly, most of the sexually related scenes in Road Trip I didn't really care for, but the non-sexual scenes were so redeeming that it made the movie appeal to me much more. Quote: |

| ***ROAD TRIP SPOILER***
She didn't. But they ended up breaking up anyway. Don't ask me. |

#126 | | Dominating with an SKS! | Road Trip is bad but nowhere near as bad as Jackass! That is the STUPIDEST movie in the entire planet! there is no way you will ever get me to watch that one for even a minute.. I've seen enough commercials.
ICK!

...Okay, so maybe I'm not so artistic after all. |

The Ermey/Pyle scenes were captivating, but once they died...well, there wasn't any real emotional attachment to the remaining characters. |

Although I think it should be ahead of AHX. Can someone tell me what is so good about that movie, besides maybe Ed Norton's performance? It didn't make any particularly illuminating observations about racism and in fact, may have made statements FOR racism. |
