Smart man, you are. | Yeah, except I don't see Pulp Fiction on there. Although I haven't seen Magnolia, it very well may be better than Pulp Fiction, although I doubt it from what I've read. Luckily, Magnolia comes on IFC on July 2, so I get to see it for free. IFC airs films totally unedited BTW, so I get to see it in it's full 188 minute glory.

Wide screen or Pan&Scan? | Usually widescreen.

| Very nice.
Anderson's directing capabilities wouldn't really be properly displayed in Pan&Scan. You have to see it Wide Screen, and preferably in DVD quality. |

Considering the raving reviews people have given me regarding that movie, I was particularly unimpressed by it. When I saw it, I actually thought it felt kind of like a made for TV movie. If you're going to have seven samurai and citizen kane on a top ten list, how do you put them behind American History X? Quote:

| This is true of almost all movies and directors. Well, that is except James Cameron. He filmed Titanic using multiple cameras and special angles so that both the Wide Screen and pan-scan versions would fully reflect his artistic vision. |

It's probably the most well crafted film ever made. Innovative and imaginative filmmaking is what fuels its motor. |

I saw PF again a couple of weeks ago and, I don't know, I got kinda bored...I have a much larger list of my top films and it really went down after that.
I don't get IFC in my area...man, that sucks, doesn't it?... |

| Well, it doesn't always show good films. Actually most of the time, it's independant crap.

| You got bored during Pulp Fiction? You aren't very good at being a art-house fan. You're suppose to kiss Tarantino's buttocks. |

1. JFK
2. Magnolia
3. Pulp Fiction
4. Eyes Wide Shut
5. Boogie Nights
6. Goodfellas
7. Fight Club
8. Schindler's List
9. Forrest Gump
10. The Big Lebowski |

| Eyes Wide Shut -- another overrated movie, IMO. Actually, maybe not, since it was somewhat panned by critics. While Kubrick's attention to detail and repeated themes was interesting, it didn't amount to a great film. |
