True Vibe's "See The Light" Recognized With Grammy Award Nomination

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) January 7, 2003-- Essential Records' pop quartet True Vibe received word today of its nomination in the category of Best Pop/Contemporary Album for See The Light, released last August. The honor adds to the group's growing list of accolades since its entrance onto the Contemporary Christian music scene less than two years ago.

"It is such a neat feeling to receive an honor of this magnitude," comments Jonathan Lippmann, founder and member of True Vibe. "When I heard the news this morning, my wife and I were completely caught off guard. We've been thanking God all day long and calling everyone we know!"

See The Light has garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success in the six short months since its debut. The record held a Top 10 position on Christian SoundScan's® Top Adult Contemporary Albums Chart for four consecutive weeks, while producing a Top 5 Adult Contemporary radio single "See The Light." The project was additionally praised by critics for its vocal and lyrical maturity.

In support of See The Light, True Vibe toured as a special guest on the 2002 "Summer JAM" tour hosted by Reunion Records artist NewSong and featuring guest performers Brother's Keeper, Freddie Colloca, Rachael Lampa and Tait. Additionally, the foursome was featured this fall in a special news piece aired by NBC regarding the growing popularity of contemporary Christian music. See The Light's "Pray" and "Supernatural" are currently playing on Adult Contemporary and Christian Hits Radio, respectively.

During its debut year, True Vibe sold more than 180,000 units and performed before an estimated audience of two million. Its self-titled recording was the year's highest-selling debut when it released in May 2001 and sparked the multi-format No. 1 hit song "Now and Forever." True Vibe later added to its radio success the No.1 single "Sweet Jesus" and two Top 5 songs "Jump, Jump, Jump" and "You Are The Way." In addition to appearances on the Radio Disney Live! World Tour 2001 and The CoverGirl Model Experience Contest, True Vibe performed the national anthem for one occasion of ABC's Monday Night Football and other NFL, NBA and major league baseball events. Furthermore, True Vibe was featured on the soundtrack album for the 2001 Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon Movies animated feature film, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" and the title cut to the 2001 Miramax film "On the Line" with *NSYNC's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone.
