Feels like a different sound.
Hmm I'm actually not the biggest fan of it. Particularly whatever they did to the vocals. I'm not sure if it's an effect or just multiple tracks of Ben singing it, but it kind of ruins it for me.

You mean like the echos in the chorus? I liked those a lot.

We should totally do a tournament type thing to determine the best or our favorite Death Cab song(s).

I don't feel like the new song is that much of a departure for DCFC. It definitely reminds me of something else I've heard, I'm just not quite sure what.

I think that each of their albums has a sound that makes them slightly distinct from all the rest (you could say that about a lot of bands). That's all I'm saying, it certainly still sounds like Death Cab. I'm actually trying to picture which album it would be on, but I'm not sure.

What does everyone think of Codes and Keys? I was pretty disappointed by it. It's got some solid songs on there, but there wasn't anything that blew me away.

Death Cab for Cutie is probably one of my favorite bands, by far my favorite secular band. I personally love Codes and Keys. I like that they decided to go a different direction and go a little less guitar-centric this time, it shows versatility and creativity (as if they were short on creativity). My favorite song has to be St. Peter's Cathedral, with You Are A Tourist right behind it. Personally, I love it. Wouldn't be able to put it down if it weren't for all the new music I've got right now.
