Only kidding. I'm from Northern Ireland and I'm 100% Ulster. My ancestors came here from Scotland - does that make me Scottish too?

| Hi Karen
I'm just up the road in Carrick. I play in the praise band at church. I don't have time for anything else, though I did play in a Christian blues band years ago.
The praise band is doing well and we have been playing around in a few other churches (I belong to Holy Trinity C of I in Carrick). We are doing some weekend in Fermanagh this March, and we do the odd worship night for the Noize Project in Carrick.
In Christ
John

| Irish from Co. Wexford, but we've been in Canada for 150 years. Just thought I'd plug that in.

| Cannot say personally that I'm Irish, unless you count the anscestors....though it really gets on my nerves when people start to say that they are part this and part that and part thisthat.....that seems to happen a lot in Louisiana...where everybody seems to be "kin" to everybody....but me.
Anyway, I'm planning on visiting your great country one day as I tour pretty much all of Great Britian....what a dream of mine!

| I'm from Northern Ireland too, Co. Tyrone to be more precise. Nice to meet ya all. I agree Ireland/N.I. is the cool place to be especially today it's a bit chilly even though the sun has come out a few times.

| In a way I would say that I was Irish, British, Northern Irish and Ulsterish. I see myself as from the island of Ireland (therefore, Irish), from northern ireland (therefore, northern irish) which is part of the UK (therefore, British (and have British passport)) and I'm from Tyrone which is in the province of Ulster.
A few years ago i would have been reluctant to call myself irish, but i've grown up a lot since then and if ur talkin to anyone they just see u as coming from ireland and therefore irish.
I'm claiming a multi-identity!!! :ktongue: |
