Acting

Does anyone in here want to act?

Theater, Film, whatever?

How long have you been acting? Do you have an agent? Anyway, this is a lot of questions, so lets get down to POSTING.

I luv acting! I'm just not very good at it. My family puts on several little perofrmances for the rest of my family. We do all sorts of things. (and come up w/ the crazy-est ideas!) It's LOADS of fun! (by the way, I'm only 12) (yes I do have permission to be on the site)

That is really cool. I can remember when I was younger, your age and even down to about 6, at family get togethers my cousins and I would ALWAYS put on plays and such for everyone. We performed sever renditions of 'Phantom of the Opera' and 'Grease'...They were always musicals.

Now I think it would be splendid to be in Hollywood, I just need more to put on a resume.

Wow, first time I come into this forum and there's a topic about acting! I'm planning on being an actress, so...yeah, you could say I act. I love doing stage acting more than film (the little bit of film experience I have), something about being out there and getting that immediate reaction...I love it!

Oh yeah, and I love POTO too! And I don't have an agent, I'm not in a huge rush to get my career started. I'm thinking COLLEGE first. I've been acting since like 7th grade, but I've always been dramatic.

check out the username, i think it says it all.

i looooove acting. i eat, drink, sleep, BREATHE acting. i've been in drama at school since seventh grade, and i would abosolutely LOVE to be in hollywood or broadway when i'm older. even both.

the thing is, i go to a small private school, and much to my dismay, the funding for our drama class is....minimal. so we dont have the resources to do high caliber productions like public schools. i'm tryin to get invovled in community theater.

just yesterday i won prose interpretation at the district drama meet, and i get to go to state in april. ACTING RAWKS!!!

acting is definitely a passion of mine. I've been involved with several theatrical groups where I live, and also the community theatre... I love stage acting/broadway, that whole thing. I've also taught/directed... yeah, drama is life.

Yeah, Theatre Geek, I feel your pain!!!

I am the same way. I mean, I don't plan to act professionally or anything, but I love it. The problem is, is that I go to a tiny private high school, and though we probably have more talent in the class then public schools have, we don't have the money/sets/costumes/nice stage like they do.

I just got Ms. Hannigan in the spring musical "Annie", though. That was a nice surprise.

Don't worry, Linds--I'm going to come back when I get my teaching certificate and we'll have us an art reformation. (I'm sorry that it'll be after you're gone--maybe you can come and help direct or something.)

I actually want to direct, but acting is loads of fun, too.
