| I've been 'acting' since I was three, theater is my passion, my soul, I absolutely love it!!!! Right now I do public speeking, but they have interpative catogories that are so fun!!! I'm doing taming of the Shrew right now!:kgrin: I love shakespears works:kyep: *obviously* If I could get a job doing his stuff, I would in a heart beat. I like theater work, camera's are evil! :khair: Musicals, are cool, I do love to sing, but I hate the whole 'dancing' thing:ktongue: 'real' theater is the best:kwink: I would love to do Oscar Wilde sometime, that would be cool...but yet, I know what it's like to have limited oppertunities, so create your own:kwink: doing skits are just as effective and satisfying

| Anyone here done any film or television?
I just got the lead part in a short film and I've never done camera acting before (I'm involved with a Christian production company www.crosswindproductions.org and we're producing our first short film for the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Houston). We're a very young company and we haven't had any official camera projects...so yeah, I'm kind of nervous about the film aspect of this script. Anyone have advice or know where I can get some?

| I can act, and i do act. do i like acting? not really.
Ron Howard once said that if you want to be a director the place place to start is in acting.
and honestly i couldn't agree more.
I've been acting since i can remember, just small skits at hoem and what not and then in high school i started getting involved with certain people (mostly people in the film media) i was given a lead in a no-budget short film, it was never released, probably a good thing too.
i still do a bit of film acting, i do stage when i can, but is it my true? not really. I've recently been able to allow my true colours to shine, i wrote my first stage prodution this spring, i've also been given the opportunity to co-direct it, it's fun, stressful, but fun.
so yeah... i can act, and i do act, and people say i'm really good, but... my real love is in the behind the scenes stuff, writing, etc.

| I've done a little bit of acting, but not much since I grew up and graduated from First Soprano to Second Soprano to Alto in the ladies' choir. Most of the plays I've been in are musicals, and there aren't really parts for someone who can't sing up past high D.
I'd like to get involved with other theatre, Shakespearian or otherwise. Unfortunately, I think the school plays are only open to Drama students. |

| I love acting so much! I would love to do theatre acting when I get the chance, and I do, but I also think it'd be awesome to do some Hollywood camera stuff too. Woohoo!

| I was actually a music theatre major at OCU Now I'm a music major at DBU...but shows still pretty much run my life. I'll post my list of the main, non-dinky ones that I've done:
Bye Bye Birdie - Margie/chorus
The Music Man - Marian
Brigadoon - Fiona MacLaren
Bye Bye Birdie - Ursula Merkle, Rose Alvarez understudy
Godspell - Joann
Our Town
God’s Favourite
A Midsummer Night’s Dream - Titania
Joan of Arc (scenes) - Joan
Joseph and the Amazing Techicolour Dreamcoat
The Mikado - Pitti Sing
Ballad of Baby Doe (scenes) - Augusta Tabor
Fiddler on the Roof - Golde
The Scarlet Pimpernel - Marguerite understudy/chorus/dancer
And, Lord willing, many more to come! Crazy!

| I have been thinking seriously of acting. I plan to sign up on productions once I get to college.

| I'm too shy and afraid of rejection to audition at anything for school, and I'm too broke to sign up with one of the musical companies, because you have to pay for your costumes. |

| I've acted in a couple school productions. Both times I got cast as the semi crazy person. I wonder what that says about me.

| I act! I'm part of the Morningstar Players in Chicago. We're really quite professional... if I do say so myself... especially for "church play" people! I hate that- "Church Play". People always assume "church plays" are cheap, talentless, and a waste of time. For some plays, it's true. But most of the "church plays" I've gone to are either excellent & well put together with great acting or average, but not too shabby- especially for the average church group's budget!
IDEA: My group hates the budget that we were originally forced to conform to- enforced by the church- so we took matters into our own hands. We do a small, non-outreach play every summer (we charge for tickets) to raise money for our outreach Christmas and Easter productions. Usually it's just members of the church or people who don't want to go to some "religous church play", so they check us out in a non-"religous" production. Last year we did a mystery dinner where a crime was committed at the restraunt we created in the auditorium for the guests, and the audience had to solve the crime, with the help of the detective (actor!). It was lots of fun, and it was really cool because there wasn't a stage- the acting took place right in the middle of the floor down with the audience. I highly recommend trying an extra summer-theater program to boost the account!
