It looks like the Edge has all of those amps miked backstage and sent through the PA, but what about for onstage? He has those monitors in front of his pedals, but surely has some cabinets onstage with him. Lot's of bands match the number of cabinets on stage with isolated miked cabinets backstage to run through the PA. I think I'd do that too.

One thing I don't get about the edges's rig. All the cab's and amp's that look like are back stage, you see a rack of single effects. Then you see what looks like a custum foot controler in front of the monitors. This is obviously on stage. I'm just wondering if those single effects are tied in to the foot controler some how. To me it's just wierd to see two different setups like that. I wonder how it all works? Anyone care to take a shot at that one. Also lets see some of your rigs, like Michael and MJ_Avalanche posted earlier. Don't be embarrased if it's nothing special, just post it we want to see it. I'll post mine later on today hopefully

all the stuff u see back stage stays backstage

Edge uses all CAE RS-10 and a couple expression pedals to control everything backstage (including the pedals you see)

Ok, I took some pics of my rig. OK it's not really a rig, it's more of a small collection of stuff. Anyways the pics came out out horrible, but you'll get the idea (thats what you get when you have a cheapo freebie digital camera from earthlink). Also I know my acoustic looks like it has 2 different colors on the top. There is a slight difference when you look at it in person, but it isn't that bad. The cheapo camera really makes it worse than it is. Guitars are Fender GA-45SCE, Fender Standard Fat Strat. Effects are Johnson J-Station, Zoom 504II. I just sold my amp and don't really plan on buying another one, J-station works fine with headphones or into the comp. I plug it all into my comp for recording. Right know I'm in the middle of upgrading software and hardware. I also have a mixer which is not in the pics, a Berhringer Eurorack602a which I use for the acoustic and also plan to use for vocals.

Here's my little stress relief system

1) Fender Standard Stratocaster
-SD lil'59 in the bridge

2) Peavey Classic 50/212BT

3) Boss CS-3, Visual Sound Jelyll & Hyde, Boss DS-1, Boss GE-7,
Danelectro DanEcho, Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus

4) Martin DM acoustic

5) Fender Acoustisonic Jr.

Now if only I could play it as good as it looks.

That's not a flashlight. Don't you know a "STAGE SHOW" when you see one.

Hey Gearup,

I have a DS-1. I was wondering how you liked the jeckle and Hyde. Is the Dis side harder than the ds-1?

To save me the typing, check out the "distortion pedal" thread in the effects forum.
