| I'm sorry, but as much as Legolas is gorgeous in his other movies (Pirates of the Carribean) the hottest and most handsome guy in LOTR is Viggo Mortenson, commonly known as Aragorn.... hmmmm..... the rugged look! And I love LOTR so much, I think Tolkien was a genius for creating this whoel world of his, creatures, languages, everything! If there was anyone I could meet, it would be him (even though he's dead) |

| Everyone in NZ (literally) knows someone who was involved in the filming. I was taught stage combat by a guy who did a lot of the combat in the movies.

| Serious? Man, I'd love to live in NZ, or even visit the places they filmed. My dad used to live near a few of the locations in the mountains, so I'd love to see that in real life. And I reckon Middle earth does exist, in NZ! |

| Well yeah, it sure does. Thing is, it's pretty obvious with some bits as to where they filmed it. You can so tell that Hobbiton is in the waikato, near to Matamata.
Well, at least I can.

| Thats cool, actually a while ago on tv i watched this thing on outdoor life network, and these guys were bungee jumping in New Zeland, and they were like on this gondula(sp?) over a river and it was like the highest place to bungee jump in the world or something, and there was this river that was under the gondula and it looked like the river that aragorn falls into in the two towers.

| I missed this post... oh yeah? A documentary. They filmed a fair bit near Queenstown, a big tourist center.

Where abouts was hobbiton filmed again?
| Hinuera, about 22 kms from Matamata. In fact, if you send mail to matamata, address it to hobbiton. It literally gets there Quote: |

| For sure and certain. Wait...I'm just gonna double check...
