Brian's Blog

Ok, so I'm finally jumping on the band wagon and starting one of these online journal/blog thingymajigs. :klol: I think I'll start with a little indroduction for those of you who don't know me (which is ALOT. . . LOL) :klol:

I'm Brian. I've been around CGR since May 2001, back when we could have lyrics on the site and before there was a Cheap Post Forum. I can't remember exactly how I stumbled across the site, but I think I was looking for the chords to a song I needed for a Sunday service. Since then I've been hooked. I haven't been one of those mega-posters, but I've met some cool people on here.

I've lived in Dallas, Texas my whole life. In fact, I've lived in the same house my whole life. I have a younger sister, Chelsey. She's great. She's a second year junior at the University of North Texas. I have been in college for 3 1/2 years. I've kinda been taking te slow scenic route. I started at The University of Texas at Arlington and went there for a year majoring in bassoon performance but got quckly burned out and transfered to a local community cllege where I started studying voice. That was the greatest move I could have made. There I met my voice professor who has become a dear friend. He is a very Godly man and has been like a father to me. I got involved with theatre there too. It is soo much fun to do.

I have always loved music since I was born. I started piano lessons at the age of 4 and did that till 12 when i started band at school. I played trombone for 2 years then switched to bassoon and played that for 6 years until I left UTA. I've been involved with Praise and Worship for about 12 years. I have been leading for the past 2 years or so. I truly feel that it is God's calling on my life to be a worship leader. I enjoy so much leading His people in worship and being in His presence when I worship. I recently left my home church where I was a worship leader. At my new church I sing in the choir and on the worsihp team and play a vass array of instruments in the band. It has been great getting to know the people there.

Well. . . i think that's a good introduction. Looking forward to talking with all you nice ladies and gents.

God Bless!!!

*edit to change my name*

I just got home from seeing Catch Me If You Can. It was a very good movie. Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks were great in the film. I went out today with my best friend and got some stuff for the new guitar that my family got me for Christmas!! It was fun. We also stopped by some friends house and tinkered with the talking drum that they brought back from Ghana for my parentsto give to me for Christmas. It was a fun day.

Wow, ok, it's been a looooooong while since I last posted in here. LOL. Let's see, what's new. I'm in the middle of rehearsals for or Spring musical out at school. It's called Clowntasia and it is a musical revue. Think of Fantasia interpreted by clowns and that'll give ya apicture of what it'll be like. I actually have a pic of myself with clown makeup on from last Friday when we practiced applying the makeup. Maybe I'll post it, but you have to promise that you won't blackmail me with it!!! Hmm. . . We had a scare at the end of the year. My grandmother had a heart attack and it looked like she might die, but a month later she is still hanging on!! Um, I'm just staying busy with school and musical rehearsals and church. Oh. . .I went out this weekend and met a really great girl!!! We had a really great evening together. I'm hoping that we can go out again!!! We'll see!!! :kwink:

Well, that's a quick update, hopefully it won't be as long before the next one!!
