| Agreed, the dvd is a sham, but you have to remember that it was made very early when DVD's were just almost popular. I hear they're making a new one though. |

| Really? Where can I find this coveted information?

| It's depressing. Because the movie wasn't a huge hit, they didn't want to waste a lot of money on its dvd. A sad end to a great film. |

| I like the movie, but it is fairly low on my favs list.
I have, and love, a director's cut tape, too. What really ticks me off though, is the way the theatircal version has a cheerful, happy-happy ending, where Ford (can't remember the char's name) and Racheal drive off into the mountains.... in the Director's cut, it's a very gloomy ending.:kconf:

| Yeah. The proposal, if there was one, was probably turned down because there wasn't enough support for it...so sad. That is sadder than the ending of the director's cut.
Oh yeah, I'm not a mod, but *please* don't give away endings like this. Its one thing to say if its sad or not, and another thing to explain how one ending was happy or sad. Please give some warning to those who haven't viewed the film yet.

This is happening far too often in this forum lately. |

| The gloomy ending makes the film better. Telling what happens afterwards is too much information. I'd rather think for myself. |
