lol, thanks guys I'll have to post about the job thing another time (maybe tomorrow).

The band played tonight...

We decided on a band name: asunder (which means: 1. into parts or pieces 2. apart or seperate in direction or position)

I'm posting the logo, I like the plain one personally It would look good on a hoody

more on this soon

Tim

And I'm interested in how you got your job. It sounds interesting!
Yes, you rawk lol

Life is good Uncle Joe has been able to talk the last few days and we're starting to be able to understand him, so that's definitly good (we just got home from the hospital)... I think he's doing better though, he's definitly less depressed (he can laugh without choking) and more hopeful, which is good; thanks for praying for him guys

My job? Well, my big boss who owns the place homeschools his kids (3 or 4 of em...) and my mom met him at the local homeschool meeting when he was looking for interns... I had been taking books on html from the library by the bag-ful and learning as much as I could get my hands on (okay, I could definitly still learn more though...). I had made a complete website for my youth pastor (who breeds lizards, bearded dragons are his specialty), but we never launched it... I made the entire website using windows "notepad" (not wordpad, notepad, the boring one) and photoshop 5.5. Anyway, I was interested in the idea of working inside and all (I've grown up on a sort of a farm, so I'm not the biggest fan of working outdoors, enjoy it: yes; work in it: no.) so my mom took me up (dressed me up and combed my kind of dorky[isn't awesome how parents don't seem to realize how stupid you feel when they "fix" your hair {I don't want it parted!}])

So, they hired me despite the hair It was an internship (actually, it still is...) so I didn't get paid till January (I had started around September, btw)... Anyway, that brings me to now: I make around $7.50/hour (phat cash, huh? ) and I'm supposed to work 7 hours a week (usually on Fridays). Can you believe that that's a raise too??? And they forgot to pay me it the last two months (they didn't mean to though, they really are pretty nice people) But they're going to pay me extra-extra this month just to make up, so that's sorta cool... Here's my tip for you Angela, there are times I wish I had played dumb at the interview and said I didn't know code maybe I should feign a brain seizure... I don't mind html, but the Cold Fusion and dynamic stuff can drive you up the wall sometimes And words of wisdom, NEVER overwrite or delete the index.html or defaul.html file... it's a good idea to backup an original (hmm... maybe I should start doing that ) I accidently deleted one once... even worse, I forgot about it til my boss brought it to my attention the next week I felt quite the idiot...

Yeah* that's my story, I think I want to learn PHP too though (did I already say that?)

Enough about me though,
Tim

lol, I'm not sure that we're that good We were joking and making fun of Mike (one of our guitar players) and he (jokingly) threatened to leave the band, he said something to the effect of: "I don't need to take this... I can leave... and then you'll probably land a multi-million dollar record deal for the one song we made." and I said, "Yeah, that's probably how it'll be too... They figure making a full record for one-hit-wonder bands like us is to exspensive, so they just make singles for bands that suck like us" everyone, laughed...

Anyway, it's just my churches youth band, but we have alot of fun

We currently have around 8 people in the band:
Jordan: Drums (since Garret is a senior, we're breaking Jordan in, he's catching on fast!)
Garret: Drums (he can scream like zao too, but I don't think we can play that for church )
Pete: Bongos/cow bell, future drummer (we got him last year when he just started junior high, he's the coolest, and the church can have him for 7 years! wow, what a deal )
Tim (me): Bass (even though I can play guitar)
Mike: Guitar (part of the reason we were making fun of him is his basketball made him shave his head, when the band was planning on growing it out, lol )
Ryan: Guitar (typically lead)
Rebekka: Vocals (our "usual" vocalist)
Brittany: Vocals (sometimes)

And can't forget the adults:
Ron: Accoustic guitar, he's from the adult band, he sings and plays with us some times...
Steve: The soundman, second to none!

Yup, that's about it guys (or "kids" as Josh says )

Tim

Hello, hello, Mr. SnowboarderTim...

I told you that I'd try and post more as my New Years resolution. OK, so I know that it's not quite New Year yet, but I thought I'd make a bit of a start now...

I honestly haven't read your blog for like, ages, so your lovely little blog has grown considerably since I was last here... Anyhoo, with a little bit of luck, I might pop in here some more in future...

I think your band name is kewl. I don't know if any Aussies have told you this, but there is this add for an insurance company on TV here, and it has these little kids telling stories about stuff that has happened to them. There's this one little kid, who is telling this story about how he was attacked by this big monster and he says, in this really cute little Australian accent (almost like Steve Urwin, but squeekier), "he bit me into parts... and pieces... then my head went that way[points right], and my legs went that way![points left]". This kid has won like, national fame - everyone knows him as the 'parts and pieces' kid... Just thought it was funny seein's as that's what your band's name means...

Anyhoo, I'm off!

See y'all round eh?

KEz :0)

But if you didn't know code, then how could you have gotten the internship??

Yes, I was confused... Kez cleared something up for me last night though, sort of an oddity between use of words in our parts of the world

I agree, the santa smilies have got to go! They're starting to drive me nuts too, eep!

Tim

Hmmm.... why do have to be so practical?? I could have just been a photoshop/frontpage person (although, if you don't know code, frontpage can be a real pain trying to get it to do what you want... btw, there's a bunch of people trying to develop free html editor, but none really available in full tested form yet I'm stuck with FP)

There was a free html editor I'd heard of that I downloaded a while ago off a personal site, but I forgot the name of it!

How was your day, Tim?

Going good We just went and got our tree... dad's sweeping up needles, mom's cooking and I'm... I'm procrastenating

Btw, is Benjamin Gate breaking up? Kind of a bitter sweet thing if they are! I just got a Digitech Bass overdrive, so now I can play there stuff and Hollywood by Pod I got it yesterday... $62.50 of off of ebay! The funny thing is that we hadn't recieved it and mom emailed the guy tuesday morning, we got the tracking # and the website said it had been delivered monday! On the front porch! So we checked and it wasn't there??? Then we checked the neighbors porch (cause they moved and there's no one there right now)... wasn't there, so we called UPS and they said it had been delivered to 4692, but we're 4691! lol, it was across the street! Kinda funny...

That's my news

Tim

I should put a note in my sig or something. Yeah, TBG is pretty dead. Adrienne and Jeremy Camp are either married or will be, and it would be a strain if they both went on tour, so TBG broke up.
