| I supose that I should report on the recent events of my life, before someone announces me dead. starting Saturday I went snowboarding, and I'm still feeling it! Before I started boardin' on Sat., my back was hurting, then I hit a jump, got 4-5 feet of air and... landed square on my butt. (as my friend behind me was thinking "he's going too fast," "he's going to wreck," "ouch, that had to hurt...") The good news after my fall: My back no longer hurt after the brief pain of the fall. Bad news: It didn't last long, as I later had worse incident without the help of jumps! I was carving along one of the gentler, longer runs at Brandywine, I was going pretty fast, when I caught my toeside edge at the end of a heelside turn (i.e. My body was facing downhill and any fall would result in me landing flat on my face).
Many things occured at this moment, so here they are:
1) I fell.
2) I hit the ground rather hard.
3) I took the impact with my chest and face.
4) It knocked the wind out of me.
5) It scraped my face up pretty good, mainly the left side of my lip and chin.
6) The scrape felt like a combo of razor burn and chapped lips.
7) I was under the skilift and had to move, shall someone decide to dump snow on me.
8) After a few seconds I told my friend I was in pain and suggested hitting a jump and landing on my butt again to remedey it.
9) It's Tuesday and I still hurt...
Yeah, that was Saturday, I'm starting to fell better now though. On Sunday I missed church, but went to my youth group, and that was fun. Monday: Boring. Tuesday I went to a thing about college today, and learned a few things about post-secondary, which I'll be doing next year. I plan on doing either electrical engineering or metalurgical engineering, but I haven't decided which one yet. I'll be going to Peek n' Peak on Feb. 20th with some friends from church... WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!
That all for this post,
Tim |

| wow, sounds like you had an interesting day! seriously, your day was worse than mine, i guess! **the following is an unpaid advertisement for Shredcheddar's web log** ( you can hear all about my day and other incredible stories in my blog, too! just click the link )
Ok, so, what were you--oh, yes. I don't know all this snowboarding lingo, so I'm glad you explained it. Perhaps you should have a snowboarding lingo lesson of the day, eh? Whad'ya think about that? I think you should do it, but that's just me.
I hope you're still not in pain, just as I hope I am no longer stiff by this afternoon (track is hard to practice when you're stiff as a.. I can't think of anything.. umm.. twig?)!
What kind of snowboard do you have? I used to skateboard, so I know some skate/snow companies out there, but don't actually snowboard. I'd love to, though. Is skiing easier to start out on, or snowboarding? How many times per year do you go?
My friends just moved to Canada, and they live right by Olympic Park, and snowboard almost everyday! It's awesome! I want to visit Canada sometime, as well as Ohio (to see a Phil show!). I just hope Phil doesn't let up touring around Ohio soon, because he's gettin old, ya know?
I guess I'll stop rambling now. Have a great day, Timmio!

I am currently renting snowboards from brandywine, but they're nothing great. I'm looking for a GNU, Palmer, or Forum and will probably buy one towards the end of the season (or the beginning of the off season). I want to get a good price as well, so I've been looking on ebay, in trading times, etc... Yes, skiing is easier starting out. I know this since I skied for 4 years before snowboarding, and this is my third year snowboarding. The learning curves of the two sports are almost opposite. Skiing is easy to learn and get the hang of, but a bit difficult (at first) to progress. Snowboarding on the other hand is hard to get the hang of, but once you do, is easy to get better and better. The hard thing about learning to snowboard is really finding an instructor who isn't young, underpaid, and only there because of the free lift pass, but if you have friends who snowboard, it should be easy . I usually go 7-15 times a year (I started late this year ), since I have a pass that allows me to go one day a week for the whole season. I hope this helps! And if you let me know if when you go to a PK concert, I can try to meet you, since my parents enjoy his concerts as well!

| Hello all (all? how many people actually read this?),
I'll be leaving for peak n' peak @ 7:00 on Thursday! In case anyone is wondering how I got school off, I'm homeschooled, and am allowed to do this about once a year. There isn't to much more going on here... I went snowboarding Sat. (again) I also helped the keyboard player at our church to move to her new house. I'm not playing bass for my youth group tonight, since we have no sound system tonight. So I'll just be having fun tonight! Although playing is definitly more fun :*/ What do you people think of emoticons? How about this one :*) ? Okay, that was really cheap, I think I'll spell my name backwards... miT There... That's better! Can anyone tell that I'm running out of things to type and that I have a boring life? Oh well, I'll stop rambling.

Me and five other guys from my church. 2 boarders; 3 skiers. It should be awsome since we've got snow dumped on us a few times the last week! If I type much more, I'll just be repeating what I said above though. What are you doing Thursday? lol... That was pretty mean I geuss...

| Another thing, If I don't post on cgr for more than 24 hours, something always happens. I haven't seen the "s" section this busy since before Christmas! And Travis, your Blog has almost a whole page since last night! Keara, where do you work? That's pretty early (for me) I work at home most the time, and will sometimes go in on Fridays, if I have to. But I like my job, they've even let me sell long distance (4.5 cents/second inter and intrastate) to friends and family of mine. And no, NO, I do NOT make telemarketing calls! Thank-goodness for that!
