| fish tanks anybody here got a fish tank? I got my first Slatwater Aquarium today. It is so cool. I have clown fish in it right now. Soon I will be getting another clown fish and a anemone. I can't wait. It'll be cool. So anybody else here have a fish tank of some kind?

| I'm too poor to own a real tank right now, but I love fish so I bought a couple betas a while back. I would like to own hundreds of fish and have a giant wall in my living room that's one side to an aquarium some day. Maybe two so I can have one freshwater and one saltwater... |

| We have one small tank with two goldfish in it....and then we have two betas living in two separate round fishbowls with floating plants in it. The roots give the beta somewhere to go and hide.

| i'm gonna cry. A fish I bought today jumped out of the tank and onto the floor. I didn't see it until it was dead. There was a funeral. And the sound of a toilet flushing. |

| Dude, you put a clownfish into a saltwater aquarium the SAME DAY you set it up and two days later an anemone? Ummm, that isn't really a good thing to do. You really need to let the salt dissolve and spread, put a few cheap fish in there after a week or so cuz a few of them probably will die... |

We just moved it on Saturday to my house, so the salt had already dissolved and the sand bed had already set itself up. |

| i have a 55 gal aquarium with a flathead catfish ... i caught the fisn on a trotline in march of 2001 ... at the time he was about 12 inches long & now he may be 18
when i first put him in the tank my wife had an oscar that was about as big as your hand ... if she forgot and turned the aquarium light off at night, the catfish would do his best to eat the oscar ... of course the oscar was much to big but the catfish would still knock a bunch of scales off & rip his fins & tail to shreds
the oscar would grow everything back & be looking good until my wife would forget & turn the light off again
i feed the catfish night crawlers, perch, crawdads, minnows & goldfish ... mostly goldfish because they are so easy to get at the baitstore ... $4 .95 a doz, all about 3 inches long

| yes we left the light on, at one end of the tank, all the time ... the light was far less stressful on the oscar than the catfish trying to eat him
the oscar passed away about a year ago, so now we can turn the light off at night
