Nashville, TN…. (12/5/02)….Tooth and Nail recording artist, the OC Supertones, are following up the successful release of their new record, Hi-Fi Revival, with a collector’s series DVD. This special presentation features new music videos of “Return of the Revolution” and “Superfly,” song clips from Hi-Fi Revival, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the band on the road.
"This DVD will prove once and for all that the Supertones do not take themselves too seriously,” says manager, Steve Thomas. “Fans will really enjoy seeing what goes on in a day in the life of the band.”
They are also currently running a contest to find the stars of their upcoming video for “GO, GO, GO.” Contestants are asked to submit a video in Mini DV or Digital HI 8 format of themselves singing along with the song and send it in to Alabaster Arts, Attn: Supertones Video, P.O. Box 210098, Nashville, TN 37221 by January 4th. Ten to twelve winners will be selected and notified via a telephone call from guitarist, Ethan Luck. Footage from each of the winning videos will be used in the actual video.
The Supertones can be seen on the “See Spot Rock” tour when it kicks off in February through May with Relient K, Pillar, John Reuben, and Sanctus Real. The tour will cover approximately 50 dates (currently scheduled tour dates following, additional dates will be added soon). Tickets go on sale nationwide on December 7th.
With over 1 million albums to their credit, the OC Supertones have appeared on MTV’s 120 Minutes, CNN and have been featured on the cover of national touring magazine, Pollstar. The band has performed in front of hundreds of thousands of people, including such events as Billy Graham Crusades, Harvest Crusades, World Youth Day with Pope John Paul II and Victory 2000 in St. Louis with then Super Bowl Champion St. Louis Rams.
