Question Diets

I'm only 18, 19 next month. And as I grew up there was always a costant need to go on a diet. I've been on many and I am still on one. As you go through high school, sixth form/college and university. This issue is always there and there are people who still think that if your fat then you must be a loser. If this issue is addressed in any public way then generally the psychiartrist still waver over it as there are no social issues about it. A university magazine where I study at in an artical completely defied any reasonable approach to obesity. The writer and editor both condemned obesity as totally foul and as the 'fat' persons fault. It was rude and insensitive and called anyone above a size 12 as a fat insolent female dog (in nice terms for this site).
Going to retaurants is hard enough as it is. All the bad fat on the food tastes nice but is bad for your body. And as a woman , I feel as not to be seen as a pig so I barely let myself eat anything in fast food chains etc.
This is a subject close to my heart and I just feel disgusted at the way our society still basis itself on commercialisation. Especially of the depiction of the perfect body.
I will say no more for now but I'll let you decided and discuss this issue.......

How can you still be fat if you were under 200 pounds to begin with, and lots between 35 and 45 pounds? I was a porky kid, and then I started eating very right and exercising, and I lost that amount of weight or more. I'm still rather rounded (Hey, I'm a girl and I'm supposed to have a figure ), but I'm not fat. We girls are not all intended to be bean poles

In the morning, I tend to grab a bagel, because I don't have time for cereal... I grab it and eat it at the bus stop, or second hour. Then, for lunch I have a sub, because it's about the only decent food my school offers, and a milk. Then for dinner, I have whatever my family has. *shrugs* It works for me, it's healthy enough, keeps me fed. The only conscious effort I make is in toppings and such, and at fast food restaurants. I never eat mayo anymore, nor do I put cheese on my subs. I never tasted the cheese anyway! At fast food restaurants, I'll get chicken instead of hamburger: chicken nuggets (albeit with honey mustard sauce) and chili, or a chicken sandwich, depending on whether or not we are at Wendy's. When picking a meal at a restaurants, I try to pick healthy, but taste comes first.

I hardly drink pop. If I'm at a restaurant, I'll usually get it, because that's usually all they serve besides tea and coffee, and maybe 2% milk which is thick and nasty. However, since I swore off pop, candy, and junk food for lent (excepting desserts), I can't have pop at all right now... but I like juice and milk and the such, so I drink those when I can. But even before Lent, I was drinking about 2 or 3 servings of pop a week, if even, because I used to be addicted to it, getting headaches because of it.

Then, because I'm in colorguard, I most certainly get enough excercise! So yeah, I stay pretty healthy, and once I'm doing crunches regularly enough, I'll be toned too.
