No he didn't but don't worry, a true frosh named Brian Calhoun (PS their 4th string RB!) stepped up huge. He had 20 carries, 137 yds., and 6.9 ypc! Man those Buffs could live without even having a QB this year, even though that Hodge guy did pretty dang good throwing the ball. I think I might pick CU over the Sooners in Houston, I think that's where the B12 championships @.

right now i think a big time guy who has a good shot at the heisman is Brad Banks out of Iowa. The guy has led his team to an 11-1 record, with the only loss coming early in the season to Iowa st., and it was a close game (36-31). He has 2300 yard passing with 25/4 td to interception ratio. He has also run for 300 yards and 5 Td's. He has completed over 60% of his passes, and has over 9 yards per pass.

I think with Carson Palmer's big day against Notre Dame in prime time, he should get a good look. Palmer has probably been the best player in college football over the past few weeks and will probably a top three pick in the draft. He's definitely better than Dorsey, but all you hear about is Dorsey being 35-1 as a starter. That's great, but the Heisman is supposed to be about the best player this season, not over his career.

Larry Johnson is the best. Considering he was cut from the team liek 2 years ago and then came back on and had like one of the greatest years in college football history. And that one game where he had like 280 yards rushing in the first half. That's a heisman winner right there.

Johnson has struggled against good teams though, as Brian pointed out.

Am I the only one that sees a problem w/Quentin Griffin and Nate Burleson getting votes and Byron Leftwich w/zilch. I know his strength of schedule sucks but he's still one of the most reliable players out there. Seeing his O-Line carrying him up the field might just be the scene of the season.

leftwhich just kinda fell off the heisman after several dismal performances, and only one or two bad performances takes you out of the running. The guys in the running have been consistent all year and have shown they step up in big games.
