have you ever had that experience in your life... wherein you know that what you are praying for is absolutely the will of God?... and yet... the Lord is still withholding the answer... or making you wait... to put it simply... well i'm in that... for the past 2 years...

bear with me...

i have this email from God's Work Ministry email and have postponed reading it... it has been in my inbox unread for... i think 3 days?? and since i'm in a don't-have-anything-to-type mood i ended up reading all my email in my inbox including that one... and... well... it's like the Lord embraced me and told me to hold on and hold out for His best answer.. in His own time and in His own way... not my terms... but His terms... ok... lemme share it with you...

Dear Friend,

There are many moments in life when we pray and ask the Lord to meet a
certain need, and because we don't receive the answer right away, we
feel
discouraged and tempted to quit praying. It is important that we
remember
our God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He knows exactly
how
and when to answer our prayer even though we may think we know how and
when
the answer should come. I encourage you to be strong in the Lord and
never
allow the voice of the enemy to tell you that God doesn't answer
prayer.
God answers and gives to us our hearts desires, but it is not always on
our
timetable. Continually trust and know that God has your best interest
in mind.

I hope you enjoy and are ministered to by today's story.

THE WEDDING RING

Two days after our wedding, we arrived at our honeymoon spot --
cottages
on the northern California coastline with their own private beach. We
went
down the cliff path to the beach and tossed a Frisbee back and forth
for a
while, but since it was late in the day, my wife asked if we could go
back
and make ourselves some dinner. Towards the end of dinner my wife took
a
look at my left hand and asked “Where's your wedding ring?” It was gone
and
I felt that wave of emotion go up and down my body. “It must have come
off
when we were throwing the Frisbee.” We hurried down to the beach.

As soon as we got to the beach we had our little prayer meeting: “God,
please help us to find the ring.” We knew exactly where we had been and
got
to work. We divided the whole area into squares and began our
systematic
search. Soon it was too dark to continue, so we went back to our
cottage
deflated. Next morning we rose early and continued our search, but
didn't
find the ring. Needless to say, my wife was very unhappy, and I
encouraged
her to forget about it and try to enjoy our trip.

We spent the next three days on various activities, and on the fourth
day
I suggested we go back down to the beach. As we climbed down the
stairs I
could tell my wife was intending to start searching again. I told her
to
let go of it, she said no way. As soon as we got to the beach, she
started
searching again, but something happened to the beach since we were last
there. A high tide had completely washed over the whole beach and,
right
where we had been throwing the Frisbee, someone had been spinning
circles
in the sand with a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

I told my wife it was hopeless. She ignored me and went down by the
waters
edge to search. I sat down cross-legged on the beach and cried out to
God
several times: “Please help her to face reality.” As I said that the
last
time, I bowed my head and there, up on top of a mound of sand, right
between my legs, was my ring. I remember crying out loud “LORD, forgive
me”
as I flung myself down on the sand. My wife came running over, having
no
idea what was wrong, and when she found out, we both praised our GOD.
We
wrote the whole story in the sand so everyone going there that day
would
see that GOD really does answer prayer.

By Chris Geary

Never allow the voice of pessimism to keep you from being steadfast in
your
prayers. The Bible declares in James 5:16, “…The effectual fervent
prayer
of a righteous man availeth much.” The word effectual means,
"Producing or
capable of producing an intended result." When we pray in faith
believing
for an answer to come, our effectual prayers are producing and capable
of
producing the answer to our prayers. (Hebrews 10:23) (Mark 11:23-26)

The moment we pray for an answer to come, we are putting into motion of
producing our desired result, but we must also be fervent in our
asking. To
be fervent means to be eager, sincere, heartfelt, unfeigned and
zealous.
In other words, we are to pray expecting the answer to come. The Bible
says
that God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. I encourage
you
to never quit praying for your answer to come. God may not answer
right
away because He sees the big picture, but continue in prayer and know
that
our God is an on time God. He will never fail you, never leave you nor
will He ever forsake you. (Luke 11:5-13) (Hebrews 11:6) (Hebrews
13:5-6)

boy that's some good stuff. the guys story sort of reminds me of how we ended up getting my lil sis. we weren't getting anywhere via adoption until after mom adn dad gave away all of my baby things. then the doors opened and thigns happened. i know for me now there are time when i wonder why is this taking so long? or why hasn't somethign happened by now? it's hard to remember God's timing is best. and tha'ts not even for me. it's harder trying to remember that when you are directly involved with a situation where you have to remember that.

ohhhh that is sooooo true... it's hard to remember a lot of things about God and His word when you are in the middle of everything... but i guess that's where faith comes in...

this afternoon in my quiet time with God,i looked back on that day i received Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior... and realized how many things He has changed in me... the way i think and act and feel... it's amazing how far my Lord and I have journeyed together...

there were a lot of ups and downs... mountain top experience and valley experience... and through it all... the Lord had been there.. gently teaching, guiding and molding me to be the person that He has always planned me to be.

y'know... sometimes... i would wonder... what could've happened to me if i didn't know the Lord... oh my.. it's a scary thought

uhm... later maybe... i'll browse through here..

yeah frankly i'm not sure where i'd be without Jesus. possibly i'd be in the same place as i am but i wouldnt be getting nearly as much out of it cause when i graduated HS i agreed to a year or so at Moody NW. i'm guessing that that may have still been the same but i doubt i would be palying guitar and i doubt that i'd be writing songs.

haha yeah it's funny how God can do that. start you doing things that are totally unexpected and they actually work out well. i was in virtually the same boat having to do wiht worship leading. i never imagined that i would ever try it with someone else let alone lead by myself as i've done the past 2 times. though i no one had better want me to sing any time soon as i've got soemthing that's making my voice gravelly. a lot of drainage i guess. but it'll be nice when i can kick that. i can't afford to get sick, lol. i can get things done confortably when i well but i can't take any time off or i'll get behind. lol... oh well. i dont get sick much so naybe this is my once time for the year, lol

ok... time to update my blog.

heart's day was great for me... i spent the afternoon talking to my honey cutie... we were just goofing around .

and then the next day... we had a bit of "discussion" go figure... a day after heart's day... hehe... well, i've been real sensitive lately... and he's been real patient... i think there are some overworked chips in his brain trying to figure me out... but we always patch it up... coz we both know that our love is so much stronger than our differences... although he wouldn't admit that we have our differences coz he'll say we are "alike"... and he refuses to agree that we "fight"... and he said he won't allow any fights between us coz he loves me too much to let that garbage in.... how sweet

i hate myself more when have our disagreements... coz automatically i will think i'm being too sensitive and i lack patience and understanding... at the same time... he hates himself more too when that happens... coz automatically he'll think he's a bad boyfriend and that he's not showing his love enough and he worries that my love grows cold... couples :kspin:

hmmm what else... AIM wasn't working earlier... and i prayed and prayed that God or one of His angels go fix it... hehe... and it got fixed!!! praise God!

anyways... i have updated this... i'll get back maybe... dunno...

oh! i was one of the hosts in the Valentine Fellowship in church last Sunday... along with 2 other hosts... we made bloopers... lol because we didn't get to rehearse... anyways, it was good

ok... time to update this blog.

actually, i posted something yesterday about out little kitty... but it didn't submit!! aaarrrgggghhhh:kmad: anyways...

i know... i know... it says over there just below my CGR name that i don't like cats much... but this is different... he's the lovable kind hehehe

he was a stray... my dad brought him in our house to scare all the little mice away :klol: but now... geesh... the little kitty (we call him Iring) has gone bratty... he's a spoiled brat!!!!

when you go to the kitchen, he'll go running with his scrawny little feet with you in there... expecting you to feed him when he has just been fed! glutton kitty :kspin: but i think it's our fault... coz when we're in the kitchen, we always give him something to chew on... so his little itty bitty mind was conditioned to that... i have tried so hard to tell him no Iring, don't think that when we go to the kitchen we'll give you something to eat... i guess he doesn't understand me :kroll:

also, i don't think he's a cat at all... i think he's a dog trapped in a cat's body... :kstare: coz he growls... yep he growls... especially when you pet him while he's eating... he hates that... he thinks you're stealing his food away... and he's frisky... he runs around all over the house... messing and goofing around with us... and i've been with some cats before... i noticed that they just sit there and stare at you for hours... lazy... but this kitty... oh no... he's one mean adrenalin ball...hehehe

geesh... i'm screwed... i fell in love with a kitty... sigh... what will i do with my hard earned reputation of not liking cats much :kconf:

i think God's training me... coz my honey absolutely loves cat... and they come with him when i marry him...hehehehe

laters

no cause you shine it close to him adn when he tries to swat it you move it... you can seriously get a cat spinning in circles wiht one of those. stick it on a wall adn our cat will try to catch it on the wall, just keep it moving.

wow.. i haven't updated my blog in quite a while... i'm lazy:kroll:

it's just that sometimes i don't know what to say (or to type) hehe... so many things running through my head... i can't type them all out...

ok... last Saturday (music practice) and Sunday, i wasn't able to lead worship coz i have a cough and my voice was really hoarse... i sounded like i swallowed broken glass... awful lol :kgrin:

but i still attended last sunday's worship service... sheesh but i didn't get to enjoy it coz i was coughing all the way through the sermon

last wednesday, i attended a mid-week worship service of the other church i'm attending... i go there for spiritual sustenance... since i don't get that in my church... y'know... the whole serving thing in your home church and you don't get to be ministered... so what i do is... i attend Bread from Heaven Community Church, to refresh and renew my mind and to be ministered to... with great preaching and great music... ahhhh... it's a great feeling to be part of the congregation and nothing's on your mind but worshipping God and listening to His voice... sometimes when you serve... your mind is distracted by a lot of things... like the flow of the service program... what to sing for the offering... blah blah...

anyways... pastor nomer (senior pastor of Bread) announced their new ministry... which they call "seminary without walls" they are offering short courses that lasts 3 months (i think) for a very low fee and!!! won't require too much time out of you coz it's only every Tuesdays after office hours!! AND!!! pastor nomer's going to teach! wow! when i heard that i said Lord, this is a great opportunity for me!!! for the longest time, it has been in my heart to go to bible school... but here in the Philippines, it's so expensive and so restrictive... i mean the life inside bible school... that i know my personality wouldn't be able to handle it.. hehehe

so for the longest time, it has been my desire to study more about the Bible... how to study it and all that... how to interpret it in light of God's truth... so!! when pastor nomer announced that their first course is Introduction to Bible and he says he's gonna teach that i was like omigosh! finally! and it's sooo cheap!! and not restrictive at all! hehehe \/

i'm really, really excited about that at the same time intimidated coz pastor nomer is such a great, great preacher and sooooo intelligent... i hope i will be a good student!!:kyep:

so anyways... that's about it... talk to ya later :kwink:
