Hey hey hey...December is here again. Here's something I forgot to write about yesterday (I have no idea how I forgot). I was driving home from my friends house on this little two-lane road. All of a sudden all of the warning lights on my car light up, the car dies, the steering locks up, and the breaks freeze. I was coasting uphill and losing speed fast and there just happened to be a church right there so I turned into their driveway. I tried to start the car a couple of times and it would shake violently and die. Eventually it started up like normal, so I got back on the road. I didn't get but a few hundred feet before it died again...permenantly. This time there was no turnoff, just someones front yard. So, I was blocking to southbound lane of a two-lane road. I was standing outside in 19 degree weather with a strong wind blowing and no jacket or gloves on...just some pants and a tee-shirt. People were going around me and nearly colliding with people heading northbound. This one old man drove by and turned around to come back. I thought to myself, "Finally, someone will help me.". The old man came back on the northbound lane swearing at me like a sailor. He was looking at me and he crossed into the southbound lane and ran a truck off the road and into these people'es front yard where I was standing. He than blamed that on me. He said he was going to get out of the car and beat the crap out of me but I'm 6'2" and about 300 pounds and I had my knife on me so he would've been toasted...anyway he was blocking traffic while he was yelling at me, so I told him to just go on or get out and do something because he was blocking traffic...he opted to leave. By that time my dad arrived and we called a wrecker and got it towed. It totally sucked. Now I have to drive my brother's car until mine is fixed. Oh well...it sucks but what can I do? Anway, today we had praise band practice for the first time in about 2 months. We have changed it up a bit. We used to have a guitar in the mix, but now we have a bass, drums, trombone, sax, and trumpet. It's pretty cool. After that I just came home and crashed. Well, tommorrow it's back to college. This coming week is the final week of classes and after that is finals week...which really doesn't count as school seeing as you just go in for 30 or 40 minutes and take a test. After that I get 4 weeks and 1 day off for Christmas break. That's a long break.

Haven't written for a few days. This week is our last week of classes at EKU and that coupled with bad...no, terrible weather made it hectic. Nothing really interesting going on. Today my college ended early, cancelling all classes after 1:25. That is a pretty rare occurance. I only had one class cancelled...Psychology. I've missed my last 4 psychology classes...ugh! I will need major major major prep for my final in there. I have a 97% in there but I don't know if a bad final grade will lower it to a B or not.

Well, today I witnessed a very rare occurance. My college had a snow day. For real...the entire day (besides evening classes) classes were cancelled. Nothing else really happened today. Just trying to decide what I want for Christmas. Probably a DVD club membership. Well, tommorrow is my first ever final in college. It's my health final.

| I guess I'll start my blog up again.
I'm changing the format. From now on it will be much looser. That rigid style I had before reminded me too much of academic writing, which reminded me of school, which reminded me of how I dislike school. So...new form.
So far today: I started my 2nd semester at EKU. You can just imagine how happy I was this morning. So here's my schedule... Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Psychology: Statistical Experimentation Lecture
Psychology: Statistical Experimentation Lab
Historical Geography Tuesday, Thursday
English Composition II
Mathematics with Applications
Industrial Organizational Psychology
more on my day later...

| Ok, anyway I'm back. I'm just watching some Third Watch. Looks like Carlos is in a little bit of trouble.
My Historical Geography professor was my Geo101 professor last semester and she's pretty cool (plus I got an A, so that doesn't exactly hurt my opinion of her). Anyway, she told our class last semester about this book that she wrote about her real life story as a refugee, protecting her daughter. From who? From her husband (the professor, not her daughter). The book is called Fingernail Moon. You can get it at amazon.com here... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...152768-2044961
Anyway, today was the first day back and I had signed up for her Historical Geography class. I was sitting there and another Geo prof. walked in and proceeded to tell us why Prof. Leech was absent. She was in Hollywood talking about a movie deal for her book. This is pretty exciting. I have to read the book now, even though she spent the whole first class last semester talking about her story (which is so fascinating).

| So, today was my second day back at EKU. It was my first day for Tuesday Thursday classes. I had to find a building I've never been to, the Wallace building. How nice. I noticed something posted on one of the bulletin boards in the Wallace building requesting Christian musicians to start a praise and worship band. I wrote down the number. Perhaps I'll call. It's been awhile since I've played in a band (a few months).
After school my dad dropped by and we went to the University Book & Supply to get my books for my new courses. I also needed a scientific calculator and I got a little EKU liscence plate for my car...it's cool. Those books are crazy expensive, and I got all of them used except one. I think the total was around $380. Anyway, see you tommorrow.

| Yesterday I missed school. I felt sick. Our county cancelled public school for snow, too bad I'm a college student. That takes something else to cancel college for snow.
Today I went to school. Fun. My Math105 class is not as boring as I first thought, and it is pretty easy so far. We have just learned to convert the Egyptian numeral system to the Hindu-Arabic numeral system (the one we use), and to convert the Roman numeral system into the Hindu-Arabic numeral system, and we learned the lattice multiplication system as an alternative to the common algorithm used to multiply by hand. I suck at math but that's probably because I was so bored in it. Well, I have to do good this time. I don't want to ruin my 3.8 GPA.
Our college is on a 2-hour delay tommorrow due to bad roads. They're icy. This means that my last class doesn't let out until 5:20PM rather than 3:20PM. Ugh! Oh well, at least we get Monday off for Martin Luther King Jr. day.
