Thanksgiving Dinner

What do you guys usually eat for Thanksgiving?

My family is very traditional -- turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole (brown sugar topping all the way!--no marshmallows), green beans, cranberry sauce, baked potatos....etc, etc, etc. For dessert, Grandma's specialty is Chocolate Pie, and we also have pumpkin pie (it's kind of a side-thing though....that chocolate pie is amazing!).

My roommate's family usually has steak though, for some reason.

Hmm.
Turkey
Mashed Potatoes
Salad (it's not your regular lettuce salad- it has ramen noodles in it and it's sooo good)
Cranberry sauce
Buns
Strawberry-rhubarb jam
I'm not sure what else. . . but for desert:
Pumkin Pie
Pumkin Pecan Pie
Apple Pie
Ice cream

We always have a bunch of people over, thus the variety of pies. We almost always have someone outside of our family, either someone's friend from college, just a friend, or exchange student. Then we have a ping pong tournament.

And my mom makes really good pecan roles!! and then there's a couple veggies, and of cource, my grandmothers mashed potatoes... with cheeze and breadchrums on top.

But before the main dish, comes the orderves... shrimp and stuffed mushrooms!! mmmmboy!

let's see... this year we had:
turkey (doi)
stuffing
mashed potatoes
cranberry stuff
broccoli salad
creamed corn casserole
my grandma's awesome made from scratch bisquits
green bean stuff with chinese noodles
sweet potatoes (with the brown sugar)

and of course, before we eat we make like 6 pans of orange jello, and eat it all very quickly...

pies:
punkin
punkin almond (awesome)
cherry
blueberry
huckleberry
chocolate pudding
french silk (by far the best pie ever made in the entire universe. and only my sister can make it perfect. we force her to make about 6 every year, not to mention other holidays she has to make them for...)

mmm, i ate a lot... nummy. and probably 2 hours after dinner we all ordered pizza... we're odd. we like food.

and the best part is the leftovers. all those cold turkey sandwhiches. awesome stuff.
