Go Fish Puts On Parade

NASHVILLE, TN…11/18/02...Go Fish is set to release Parade, their second project on inpop Records on December 17th. Produced by Scott Williamson (Point of Grace, FFH), Doug Beiden (Jump 5, Michelle Tumes), Darren Rust (Blenders), Parade is a high-energy hybrid of pop vocals, samples, rock 'n' roll, worship and more, wrapped up into one package unique to today's musical landscape.

“I think people are going to be surprised by the sound of this album, it’s got a little more diverse musical texture than Infectious but at the same time still retains the signature vocal sound of Go Fish,” says Steve Ford, VP and General Manager, inpop Records.

Go Fish is made up of Jamie Statema, Jason Folkmann and Andy Selness and hails from Minneapolis, MN where they garnered a large following as an independent group over a 6 year period of time, selling over 100,000 units. Signed to inpop Records in 2001, the group released Infectious, toured with Rebecca St. James and Salvador and gained more national radio play with the hit single “You’re My Little Girl.”

"We started out as an a cappella group, but we wanted to expand our horizons. We wanted to get in front of as many people as we could, plus we wanted to expand ourselves musically,” says Statema. “Infectious was part of that process, but we wanted to go even farther. I think Parade is the next step."

The first singles, “Ask” and “Savior” were released to AC and CHR radio respectively on October 28th. Both have received glowing reviews:

Thanks for giving me the song “Ask,” I've been waiting for all year. This song has smash hit written all over it! Awesome music, tight harmony, great production, and a well-written song. It truly makes me excited about Christian music. Ryan Springer, KOFR, Lubbock, TX

Wow, what an incredible song! Powerful lyrics, great sound. “Savior” is Go Fish at their best!! Dan Wynia, Skylight Radio Network

Along with the release of Parade, Go Fish will be busy in December with their annual Christmas tour. Last year’s tour was one of the most successful Christmas tours in CCM. The group played before over 20,000 people in just one week. This year promises even greater success as the group plans to add new cities to the schedule. More information on the Christmas tour and Spring 2003 touring will be forthcoming.
