yeah, that was at the beginning of the year, BEFORE they beat a little team from Austin and hopefully one from Norman.

like i said, Ohio State has long been my second favorite team behind the Horns, i just am not convinced of their power this year. i don't think they should be number one, but their record puts them there, or close to it.

I think they will beat Michigan, but Michigan has a chance at winning.
I think they can beat Miami, but Miami has a big stinkin' edge in that matchup.

I don't think Miami has that much of an edge. They've had close calls with lowely teams as well, and I am anxious to see how well their offense does against a defense as strong as OSU's.

I'm not saying any of y'all are saying it but people are starting to say Miami is overrated! I'm not a Cane fan, but I give credit where it's due. The reason they're almost getting beat by bad teams is they're getting bored. I watched part of the Rutgers game and it looked like Dorsey and McGahee just wanted to go home. This team is for real and is just saving themselves for the Hokies.

Question: If Virginia Tech beats Miami, should they go to the Fiesta Bowl or should it be Washington State? Just wonderin'

Thats the problem, shane, good times refuse to get bored. Getting bored shows mental weakness, and that should not be a problem with a top team. Yes miami has been shaky, but they have won all their games, and so in my book they deserve (so far) to go to the Nat'l title game with OSU.

watch out, the RR enterprise has begun

Amen. All this "they've had close calls with bad teams" stuff is nonsense. The bottom line is that Miami and OSU have not lost and everyone else has.

I used to not be very interested in a OSU-Miami championship, but now I'm very interested. I think I would have Miami, but I'm not sure. Listen to me, I'm talking like this a guranteed matchup in Tempe when the best week's coming up!

Well, Miami gets a step closer to Tempe with a victory last night over a very tough Pittsburgh team. The 'Canes made the big plays when they had to. They've still got Syracuse on the road and then Va. Tech.

Big games tomorrow, OSU/Michigan and OU/Tech top the list.

The Miami game last night was very close.
Pitt almost tied it in the last minute.
