| Seward is not beautiful to me....the mountains are pretty when they have some snow on them......but other than that......no...
two hours to the nearest town is kinda tough.......esp when there is only one road to go anywhere.
We cant enter any of those little contest thingies cause we live "over seas" I mean.......that is sooooooo stupid!!!
VERY few musical artists come up here....esp the christian ones....
and when they do, its on a cruise and nobody who lives here gets to see them in concert.
It is pretty expensive to live here......but you get paid more.....it was nice getting paid 7 dollars an hour for my first job......and my employer saying that she had to pay me that because i had no experiance........lol
Not only are fruit and veggies expensive......they arent even very good! we get really lame produce here.
Fast food is more expensive here than elsewhere.....here in seward, our Burger King sells a whopper for 2.99. JUST THE SANDWHICH!!!!!! the meal is like 7. Its rediculus.
anyways......Im done I think.......cause I gotta go eat.....later

| Hi Kortni.....
I'm glad to see a few other people live in Alaska...sometimes it feels like we live in another country. ( sometimes? ALL the time!)
So how long have you lived here?
We moved here from Salt Lake City about 2 1/2 months ago. (I'm married to Bob_The_Veggie.) We drove down to Seward a few weeks ago...we wanted to go to Exit Glacier but the road was closed.
I do think Seward is pretty...that little red Episcopal church is so cute....not really much to do though.
What church do you go to?
Just curious. I'm just so excited to find more Alaska people on here.
Bye!
Sarah
PS I love your avatar!!! |

PS I love your avatar!!! | Yeah seriously......when you have to explain that the USPS DOES run up here to companys down south it totally makes you feel like aliens.......
We have lived in alaska for almost 4 years...3 and a half of them in ketchikan....and the rest here in Seward.....my dad is in the coast gaurd thats why.....
yeah.....they closed exit glacier road about a month ago.....
My brother and I go to youth at the Nazarene Church.
Our family goes to Christian Church. both churches are on fourth ave.....but the christian church doesnt have a youth group so thats why my bro and I go to the Naz.
there is not much to do here at all........
hopefully we will move next summer though! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!
thanks about the avatar thing...... ......

| really sorry you don't like alaska, k, i can understand too, especially when you live miles from the nearest form of habitation, it's no fun.
and then, of course, there are those weird people who come around once in awhile...THAT's freaky
i live up in the mat-su area. in fact, i can see THE mall from my house. i used to live out by willow -- interesting drive into "town"
i just wish they had an all-time amusement park up here. that would about round it out (not TOO many people, i like that, but places aren't very close to each other, which is a real bummer). |

| Well, he said in his post...
He lives in "Yahoo! Mat-Su!" ... so he's probably in Wassilla or Palmer.
Palmer is a cool town, they have this old hotel that makes really good food...at a reasonable (albeit still Alaskan) price!

| i live in wasilla. actually, i'm not in the city limits, but i live right in the middle of it (kinda wierd if you ask me).
we just built this house (we used to be living on a tin-can-on-stilts, so this is a BIG improvement). it was kinda freaky in that big earthquake we had awhile ago-- our house swayed for about five minutes afterwards. |
