| Has to be a Carvin. Neck through and fretless. Sweet, looong natural sustain, fast neck and great J-style pick-ups. Not too heavy, not too light. LB20 for under $700 can 't beat it. |

| Yes I knew that, but it is a stingray copy, and i think thats more what he meant.

| I currently use a Peavey Cirrus series 5-string. Awesome Bass! (I do not like any of the other peavey guitars and some of the cheaper cirrus models)
I also have my Gibson G-3 which I bought new in 1978 which I have not used since getting the Peavey.
My first was a 1967 Fender Precision with the C-neck (wish I still had it!) but hte neck warped bad.
If I had tons cash??? I'd have to go try them all out, there are too many. Would love an old firebird bass just to have. |

| Fender is the best. My Dad owns Fender Precision Bass I don't know how long He's had it though I never played it. Because I just learned how to play a few weeks ago I don't have an amp but somebody is giving me some amps because they're cleaning out their garage and they don't know if they work but hey, It's FREE!!!! |

| #1: What was you first bass? What would you recommend as a first bass? Why? Squire P-Bass. Yucky, never purchase.... (: just kidding. it was good as a beginer bass.
#2: What bass guitars do you currently own or have owned? What did you like or dislike about them? Would you recomend them to another bassist? I currently own a Schector ELite 5 string. IT is an awesome rock bass. Tone can very from hard edged rock to smooth jazz. totally recomended.
#3: What is your favorite brand and why? Schecter. I own one. (:

| My first bass was a Westone Spectrum ST. A four string with a decent sound, but looked really cool. Solid black and the horns were short, but curved in to a point. Just a cool look to it.
I also owned a Cort Curbow. It had a cool sound and could almost sound like an upright if toned properly. It was made mostly of composite material, only the neck was made of wood, so it was very light. The fretboard was composite, too, but it surprisingly never went drastically out of tune. But I wanted a change in sound, like you'd get from a solid wood bass, and plus the body was very small and so whenever I sat down to play, the bottom horn always dug into my leg. Right now I own a Peavey Fury 5. I like it. It's light and has a nice sound and tone to it. Good action, too.
As far as a favorite brand goes, I can't say I have one. I haven't played enough different brands to tell. But I'm quite happy with my Peavey. |
