| Early Heisman Voting (Yes, I know it's WAY to early) To me it looks like this year will be wide open. Call me crazy, but this year's trophy might not go to a player from one of the BCS conferences. I mean there's the obvious like Leftwich (Marshall), Ragone (Louisville), and the most underrated player in the nation Dwone Hicks (MTSU). But then there's the people you might not have heard. Like Kent St.'s got this QB named Josh Cribbs who is 5th in the nation in rushing and isn't a half bad college thrower. And did you that the nation's top 2 receivers are from the same school. And it's not Michigan State or Washington State, get this, they're from San Diego State (Tolver and Davenport)
Don't let my talk of no-name conference schools sway you, feel free to talk about major conference players, too. |

| My vote is Seneca Wallace from Iowa State. Especially if he does well against Oklahoma tomorrow. He is the most versatile player in the country.
However, after the whole Eric Crouch incident in the NFL, I'm not to excited about the Heisman. For every hit (Woodson) there's a miss (Crouch).
So, instead of the Heisman, I look at the player who I think will have the most impact in the NFL. And I would say that Leftwich from Marshall is my top choice right now. |

My college (Texas Tech) played Iowa State last Saturday and he is one bad dude. Search for that as a keyword on Google or something and you will get pages about it. Very interesting. Heisman winners usually don't do well at all in the pros. |

So far I think Wallace has a strong chance, and still will if he loses to OU today. And as for Crouch, this is just me but I think he could have had a chance as a special teamer, WR, HB, or with a little work a QB. But he said he quit football because he lost his love for the game. Wallace has got more desire and discipline than Crouch and, in my opinion, will be a moderate success in the NFL as WR or DB (after all that's what Oregon St. first recruited him as) |

| I'll throw some more names out there
Rashuan Woods - OSU (okla state) - WR
Kingsbury - Texas Tech - QB
J.R. Tolver - SDSU - WR (leads country in Rec. Yards)
Charles Rodgers - Mich. St - WR
Maurice Clarret - OSU - (ohio St. ) - RB ( phenominal fresh.)
Chris Brown - Colorado - RB ( compiled some great number vs. good teams
These guys may not be Heisman type guys, but they definetely deserve a look at the next level.

Look up his stats and see for yourself, and look up the stats against Texas A&M specifically too (a defense that was ranked 3rd nationally going into the game and 1st a week before). |

Have you been to the games and seen him play? You think he's NFL material?

Have you been to the games and seen him play? You think he's NFL material? | I went to a few last year and thought so. I may go tonight, but I haven't had a chance to make it to any games so far this year. I usually work on Saturdays (and I did today, but the game is a late one ). I think he could be. He's like 6'4" and pretty mobile (although not one of those guys who will kill you running) and I think he's proven that he can pass. He's tough too, I can't remember the last time he's sat out. |

| Heisman Voting Here are my picks for the Heisman Finalists:
Maurice Clarrett: Ohio State
Phenomenal running back and is only 18 years old. He should stay in the NCAA at least until after his Junior year if he's still good because NFL teams want sonsistency. Won't win because of more experienced finalists.
Byron Leftwich: Marshall
Awesome quarterback but has struggled at some points in the year, very versatile player too. Won't win because of low points in the season.
Ken Dorsey: Miami
Very good and experienced QB, wouldn't be surprised if he led Miami to another national title but VA Tech is still in the way. He knows how to make good decisions, but won't win because all he can do is pass unlike my next pick who I think will win.
Seneca Wallace: Iowa State
Very stong and versatile quarterback, even though ISU will probably lost to Oklahoma, he knows how to run the ball and pass it too. He's a Senior who knows what to do with the ball when it counts and does whatever he can for his team, he's my pick to win the Heisman.
I know most of my picks are quarterbacks but remember when Chris Weinke won? LaDanian Tomlinson was the only RB against 3 QBs so it could happen. |

Not good. |

| Eli Manning- Ole Miss(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)
Did anybody see the Ole Miss-Alabame game? Eli looked like a junior high kid. It's a good thing that Archie told people to not try to start a Heisman campaign.

Completed four passes against OU and threw 3 picks. He is still very good and I would want him on my team, but for the Heisman, one game like that and you're done.

| yeah, Seneca Wallace, as much as i hate to say it, is done for the Heisman. that was just an awful game for him and bad enough to linger until the actual Heisman vote. as long as Miami keeps winning, Dorsey will get the Heisman. he is consistent, reliable, and a proven winner. although i disagree with him winning the Heisman, because i don't think he is the best player in the country, he will probably win it. i actually think MaGahee is more important to that team than Dorsey.
