I own a BC Rich. It is awesome and it sounds great. I bought it for $250 from a dealer.(It is not one of those freaky ones, it's a normal-looking bass)

Guitars that I currently have, all acoustic:
Gibson CL-40
Alvarez-Yairi DY-76, 12-string
Baby Taylor
Mid-Missouri Mandolin

I guess I have a gear addiction. I'm always scrounging around guitar shops and shows.

Talking Got Guitars?

Hey everyone! Well just getting in on this discussion. I've owned a couple guitars but what I play now is a Larrivee DV-05E with the Fishman Blender. Sounds awesome. It's what I play for P&W. I also have lying around a Fender Malibu and a random Segovia I found somewhere.

Guitars... eh?

I own a Samick (electric, don't know model number) that has a wooden look to it with a sunburst.

I also own a Sigma Guitar - TB1 thin body acoustic/electric which is just awesome when I want to sit down and write a song. It has the same look as the Samick, but gets a bit darker at the edges and doesn't have as much of the wooden look.

and I'm getting a strat in July (hopefully)

I have a 3-tone sunburst Fender American Tele, a squier strat, and a fender acoustic. no, I'm not a fender freak, or sponsored, i just liked the guitars. I very rarely pick up the squier. What kind of amps do you all have? I have a carvin 100 watt 2x12 combo, but i'm going to buy new stuff by july.

hey 7strings, you have waaay more talent to play one of those than I could ever dream of having!! How doyou play a 7 string when all the chords are written in 6 string formation?? What note is the 7th (or odd) string?? Like EADgbe......

I have an Alveraz acoustic something that a friend of mine gave me. I looked up one like it,(mine doesn't have hook ups) and this one (with hook ups) was like$1000 I almost dropped my teeth!!
Then I have a classical that I am selling (if any of you live in AL and want to buy it e-mail me!) I bought it for $100 and it served me well for 5 months.
I also just sold my Ibanez Blade electric and Dean Markley amp with footswitches.

I have an Epiphone ED-100/NS Acoustic (I have NO idea what any of that means though...). It's my first and only guitar, which I got as a Christmas Present from my girlfriend... It was cheap, and I know NOTHING about guitars, so it's good for me. Do Epiphone's stink really badly or something... because I feel all alone out here in Epi-Land, I haven't seen anyone else post that they have one... or are they too embarrassed to admit it Hehe... really, are they pretty "low end" guitars? Either way, like I said, it was a gift and I absolutely wouldn't give it up for the world. Anywho, take care everyone, and God bless you!

His,
Chris

PS- Since I'm on a roll of asking stupid questions, how do I put an end to this "Newbie" nonsense over there on the left (Besides posting a bazillion times a day)? Thanks, in advance.

Hi all,

I just joined the discussion here, but here's what I have:

Acoustic -- Gibson Epiphone PR200DNA with pickups added. I got this puppy as my first guitar, and I got it at a pawn shop for a mere $190 -- not too shabby, I would say -- my friends have told me that was a steal -- I don't know guitar prices all that well, so does anyone know if I did or not? It is one of the best sounding guitars I have ever heard -- it gets a beautiful sound.

Electric -- I am borrowing a friends Gibson Epiphone electric -- I'm not sure what style it is, because he bought it used, and he doesn't know too much about guitars yet. He wants me to buy it from him, so that he can buy a bass -- its a really pretty guitar -- fire engine red with two humbuckers, plus it gets a good sound -- I just need a pod, then I'll be all set.

As far as strings go, you can't go wrong with the brand new Martin Cryogenics -- they are tempered at extremely low temps, which in the long run makes them really easy on your fingers, but they have the durability of a harder string. Martin SP's are also really good, as well as the Customs.

I guess that's about it here.

In Him,
+ <>< Stephen

P. S. -- hey 3foldcord -- you have 2 options for your "newbie" problem. You can either become a moderator or just submit 10 or more posts. There may be a way to manually go in and change that one, but I'm not sure, but Mickey would be the dude to ask that one.
