Heya,

What on earth does the title mean? (It's a band's name (great band too).. but the content of the first post has nothing to do with a band.. I dont think)

But anyway, .

I'm thinking we implement a standard rating system for the site, i.e. a percentage from 100, or a pitchforkmedia.com - esque rating system or something.

Also, I've rediscovered the fact that I suck at web page design. Any takers?

I can draw well... does that help?

100? Hmmm that's very broad. I'm not sure that I know how to rate something out of 100.

Shall we steal the www.pitchforkmedia.com scale then?

They rate things from 1-10, with values like 1.5, 1.6, etc. Although after the point is nothing of much importance. Just makes it look a tad better than 1-10, you know?

Brooksie, Travis mostly has the drawing side at the moment (although he is quite busy, so he may wish to let you take over).

I don't know if everyone knows, but the plan is to register www.outofthevoid.com shortly, and have a site there, not to continue using the blog, which doesn't let us use images, etc, as far as I know, so we need someone to make a real site up.

I could draw up a sketch of the basics of what we need, if anyone has the madskillz required.

the 10 scale sounds good also. As long as we have a "key" like pitchfork does so people will have a good idea of what we mean by those numbers.

And about the drawing, I can try and come up with whatever yall need, as long as yall give me a good idea of what you want. But I'm not stuck on doing it, either. I am willing to take some of the load off of you, Travis, if you're busy.

The Scale

I think that either scale will work. The 1-10 scale using decimals or the 1-100 scale. If you think about it they are the same. A 4.3 would be a 43 on the 100 scale. Poeple just like to think on a smaller range and the lager numbers confuse them because they think that there are a lot more number to choose from when they are really the same.

just a thought
