Pray For America

Yoha

I would like it if all of you joined me in praying for america. Our country was foounded on God and now we can't even pray to him in skool. So much for the freedom of religion our founding fathers talked so much about. Isn' that why we came here so that we could pray in public. America is falling apart and I would like your help in praying for America.

Theres nothing stopping you from praying in school. Its illegal to have mandatory public prayer or for a teacher to lead students in a prayer. That makes sense because if I had a Muslim teacher, I wouldn't want that teacher to force me say a prayer to that God. Why should we be allowed to force them to pray to our God? We shouldn't. that wouldn't be religous freedom. You can pray all you want in school, theres nothing wrong with that. And America wasn't exactly founded as a Christian nation. Most of the people responsible for the revolution weren't exactly "good" Christians if they were Christians.

And by the way this is a TV/Movies thread, not a pray for a America thread.

Good thinking, but......there's a reason that we have a Current Events forum as well as a Prayer Request forum.

Mods might want to move this to one of those two.

I'm thinking Current Events....

And my two cents... Atlas is right. Praying in school isn't illegal. We used to have Bible study during lunch. The school even had to provide us with a room to have it in, though it was easy, because my school had a couple of Christian teachers, who would even sit there "grading papers" while we did our study.
