Rams Suck... what happened?

Never really liked the Rams, but they really bite now. They are now 0-5 and their losing streak is at 10, if you consider the Superbowl and the preseason.

Talk about going from Hero to Zero...

teams have figured out Martz's play calling...

Warner was not the same, and is now hurt

They aren't running the ball enough

their defense stinks: they could win last year with a D that gave up 20 points a game, but not this year

I seriously forsee the Rams ending up with a top 5 pick in next year's draft. Any suggestions for who they should select? I say if a top QB is coming out, they should draft him to be Warner's successor.

While on the outside it would seem that the Rams need a successor to Kurt Warner, you have to remember, that at any time, that offense could just go bananas again sometime next year. I think the root of the problem is in the lack of mixing up the play calling, as well as the loss of Hakim. Hakim was a speedy guy who would go down the middle and force a safety to guard him. Now opposing defenses can double up on Holt and Bruce and make sure they get very little room to operate. Charles Rogers from Michigan St. could be a good addition to their team. He is touted as a big time receiver. As far as other guys go, I'm not sure, but lets make sure the Rams stay in the cellar the rest of the season before giving them the lottery pick. ( Bengals look even worse than Rams)

They lost a lot of talent... they just aren't what they used to be. As for the Niner game yesterday, they exploited the cover 2 zone with off tackle handoffs and good downfield blocking.

For the most part, the niners didn't even double the receivers, but the SF DBs did their job well.

I didn't mean an immediate successor. I meant for when Warner retires. How old is Warner? In his mid-late 30's right?

That's what I think too. Plus they have several injured players and I never thought that Warner's injuries from last year were all healed, and now he has a broken finger on his throwing hand. That sounds like a little injury, but anytime you're messing with your throwing hand, it could be something that affects you for several years.

nope, he's only 31

In comparison, Rich Gannon is 36 years old, but still plays excellent. So i don't think Warner is done, I think if he can allow time for his injury to heal, and the Rams draw up some new looks both on D and Offense they could be better next year.

Really??? Well that changes everything. I would say what they need to draft right now is a top offensive lineman. A right tackle perhaps.

No, they're not! They put Stacey Mack in at the goal line, thus denying Fred Taylor touchdowns. Did you know that Fred Taylor should have 7 touchdowns right now?!? (in case you couldn't tell, I have Fred Taylor on my money league team)

Crouch is a quitter. That's all there is to that. I don't know how much he would have helped the Rams anyways. He definitely wouldn't help him at quarterback. I listened to an interview with him by Dan Patrick. He retired because he only wants to play quarterback.

Dude, get a good passing arm and then call the NFL about being a quarterback.

Haha, yeah really. What's he going to do? Run the option?

Why not. "Well, I run 7 plays. Split V, it's just like novacaine. Just give it time, it always works."
