There used to be this 8-hour portion of my day known as "bedtime". I have converted it to "surf CGR time". Now I seem to get everything done, but for some reason my body is very fatigued.

Actually, I think the answer to your question may very well depend on your daily activities. My schedule would be very different than yours because I have two small children. Yours is probably different than mine because you may have a practice you routinely go to or evening activities you're expected at.

So it might be hard to answer.

My favorite recent quote on CGR:

"Bono is so full of himself that it hurts. Every time I read one of his quotes, it makes me want to puke on his face. It was a good quote, but it is made bad by the fact that he is more self-righteous than George Clooney.
- Art

I am slowly re-assimilating back into the CGR.

Manage my time? Ha! I just get my stuff done before it needs to be done. I usually don't do things that I don't feel like doing, and so far that hasn't presented any problems. Right now I probably should be finishing my math homework... uh, eh, it'll get done before tomorrow. Who wouldn't rather be on CGR, drinking coffee? Ahhhh....

Well, I just do whatever I feel like doing. If my homework doesn't get done, oh well, there's always the morning before school and lunch time.

Here's how Amanda typically functions from the beginning of a new semester:

She starts her full-load, hard classes with a cheerful smile.
Sees that Friends is on and watches it instead of doing her homework.
Falls behind.
Has a several pop quizzes the next day and fails them.
Tries to catch up in the units but Friends is on again.
Fails the tests.
Is failing the course.
Has so much extracirricular tying up her "free time."
Pulls several all-nighters to finish assignments.
Freaks out and realizes she can never catch up.
Finally decides to drop a course.
Has to ask for extra assignments to catch up in the other classes and to raise her mark.

Its a sad, sad tale, ladies and gentlemen.

Don't scare me too badly! I'm only taking 1 college class right now (while I'm in highschool (aren't I talented?)), but it's an easy one, and I'm kinda freaked out about the workload in college. Though one of my (formerly) homeschooled friends told me college work was easier than he expected.

and i'll second that. i'm taking 16 credits worth of classes. the work load is smaller than i expected by far. i have work to do but i can get it done in a few hours here and there. i spend a fair amount of my 3 day weekend doing hw.

I've got an interesting equation for all of you. . . crazy to me.

7 days x 24 hours =
168 hours per week

-40 hours per week in school =
128 hours per week

-(9 hours of sleep per night x 7 days) 63 hours of sleep =
65 hours

65 hours per week divided by 7 is a little more than 9 =
9 hours per day not including sleeping or school!

So, friends, that gives you 9 hours to study, hang out on CGR, and get your other stuff done. . . crazy, huh?
Our YP had us do something this last summer where we all tracked our time for 1 week. . . wrote down what we were doing at 7:00, 7:15, 7:30, etc. It really revealed a lot.

Just thought I'd share that.
