The Didgeridoo

Anyone here play one? I saw Timber (a worship band) this summer and they had one that they played a few songs with. I am kinda interested in them. I like how Timber used it (for bass). I don't really look to be playing one solo but as a bass.

about the only thing I know about them is that real digi players learn to circular breathe...this is breathing out through the mouth while breathing in throught the nose...this is haw they get that constant tone from the digi...If you can't do this you will be restricted to playing however long you can exhale...

nope, I don't play one, but I want to learn how. It does not look hard. So it probably is...

Hey
I play the didge Taught myself to circular breathe. I have a slide didge and I like it a lot. Especially the barking noises and other sounds you can make with it.

Last concert, the digeridoo player with Rivertribe (touring with R. St. James) let me look at his didge and played it for me. It was a really nice one with a nice tone.

if you watched survivor australia, that really low pitched noise that had a bunch of different wave lenghts was a didgeridoo...

a good didj will have lots of overtones so it sounds full

you don't need many different length didj

yeah I play didj. It's especially cool to mix it with an unplugged version of "In the Secret."

Yay 2500 posts!

I love playing digeridoo.
I got one for Christmas last year, I love it. I learned to circle breathe and we may start using it in praise band at church.
