| You know, this is really ashame. All you people in here insulting each other, putting each other down. No wonder this world is in the shape it's in. I'm not perfect, I admit, but it's because we treat each other like this, that the world is so screwed up. You can blame it on Satan, heck you can even try and convince yourselves that the world is not in all that bad of shape. But pop in a Marilyn Manson CD, or System of a Down Cd, and tell me the world's not messed up just a bit. I pray all of you would look at yourselves and thank God, that He's (God) so good to us; and I will pray this too. All of us can do something for the cause of Christ!! )
God bless,

By the way Travis, all people's opinions are relevant, even yours. So lets see something from you besides critisism. |

| Well travis the bible says we are ambassadors of christ.
but ill let you beleive you are "The" physical manifestation of him, and well see how far it gets you, maybe you could be the pope of another religion.
Now, in case you didn't understand what i said earlier.
THe pope(or one of the head bishops, i forget who) claimed to be the physical representation of christ.
which means HE CLAIMED TO BE CHRIST.

| OK, Just because someone's a Catholic does not mean that they are not a christian....I happen to be Roman Catholic, and I doubt very much that people who debate with me will say that I'm not saved (if you do, please let me know and why. I promise to not hold it against you). Many people here think I'm wrong, but still a christian.
I think you are a little misinformed, my friend Please read some books about Catholics, or go dig up one of the moster catholic threads on here and become a little more informed before you start spouting off some "Pope is the antichrist" nonesense
As for tolkien's christianity, I highly doubt he would have bothered translating the Hail Mary and the Our Father into Elvish if he wasn't Just a helpful fact hehe
Eru Melye (elvish: Means God Bless)

THe pope(or one of the head bishops, i forget who) claimed to be the physical representation of christ. | Make up your mind. Did he claim to be a physical representation, or the physical manifestation? There is a HUGE difference. |

| I think I see where you're getting off. The pope claims to be a physical representation of Christ, and a "physical manifestation"...or a more accurate term would be spiritual decendant, to Saint Peter. I say Spiritual Decendant because the pope does not actually claim to be St. peter reincarnated or anything Although doubtless you've heard that.

2) Unless you are a Calvinist, you deny Total Depravity (or are at least seriously illogical in your soteriology). You can't accept Total Depravity w/o accepting the other points of Calvinism.
That being said, I think that Tolkien's thoughts on Total Depratity are completely unrelated to this discussion. Also, I'm pretty sure that you deny Total Depravity as well. |

But in my eyes to claim to be a physical representation of christ, is a very bad thing. I have heard the term, "you have to be jesus to them" but i don't think that is what he meant.

| I think you are in the minority when you say that you think that being a physical representation of christ is a bad thing, especially since it says in scripture that we are the "body of Christ" What is a body? A physical representation!!!!
And as for my spouting off, did it occur to you possibly that I didn't notice that you'd used different words until after I'd posted. And as for spouting off, you don't have much right to talk there

| I doubt he would have said that about Jesus. I bet it was manifestation of St. Peter.
By the way, re reading what I said, I'm sorry if I was a little harsh. I spent all day shopping with my mother and little sister, came home, and the internet has been fluctuating on and off....it shut down all my messengers....and has been making me want to scream. So sorry if I'm a little short tempered tonight. It's nothing personal.
