Survivor: Thailand

Did any of you watch survivor tonight (or last night technically)? I did and I enjoyed it quite much. Then I watched the interview for Jed and John. I must say it was good to hear Jed promote Christianity so much.

Hi Bryan!

Yep, I watched it with my wife and we enjoyed it very much. They manage to keep this show fresh somehow - this time by waiting a while and distancing it a little from the previous airings.

I was kind of hoping they would have maintained the "female tribe" and the "male tribe" - that would have been interesting but alas they did the 5th-grade-gym-class thing.

I was hoping John could stick around a little - maybe he could have made a positive impact for Christ since he is a pastor. But he did make the mistake of being too bossy - didn't he learn from previous Survivor casts that bossiness always makes you a target the first week. !?!?

They seem to have more seafood available in the water on this one. I was, probably for the first time, jealous of the dinner being eaten by Survivor castaways.

I wonder when the younger tribe will all start getting sick of Skateboard-boy? The Chinese girl "Shi" was already pretty ticked at him.

Good times.

My favorite recent quote on CGR:

"Bono is so full of himself that it hurts. Every time I read one of his quotes, it makes me want to puke on his face. It was a good quote, but it is made bad by the fact that he is more self-righteous than George Clooney.
- Art

I am slowly re-assimilating back into the CGR.

I am glad that John got the boot. I think that he would have given everyone a more negative view of Christianity, and essentially made us look bad.

Just one comment on skateboard boy... Yeah, shelter is important. A floor for your shelter? Not nearly as important. Food? Yeah, important.

I think it's funny how arrogant that younger team is. My Mom and I were talking from the beginning about how they were going to lose a lot of challenges and have more troubles overall, because they are all headstrong, and most of them aren't too bright.

Hey I just found this thread. hehe. Well I am glad I did! I love survivor! lol. It seemed kinda dumb that John got voted off right away, but I also realized that not everything was shown on tape and he might of bugged them more than we realized, and, I wouldnt want him to stay around too long anyway. Sure he's a pastor n all, but I could picture him doing stupid things, like the "disgusting food" challenge which we all know has to come sooner or later. So how would that represent christians if the pastor was doing just as much stupid things as the unsaved people? lol. Btw, I think that the skater dude is cool. I'm gonna start counting every time he says "dude" per episode. lol. And is Jed the Dentist? I heard you all saying that he was a christian? If so, that rocks! You see, he may be a christian, but he isn't in a high role and expressing it like the pastor, so I would like to see him win the million. Helen and Ghandi are getting on my nerves BIG TIME. I think it was a mistake for them to vote out Tanya last night, just because she was sick, because she would most likely get better and contribute to the tribe n all, but hey, its done with. lol. As of now I do not know which team I am voting for. The younger team has some more odd personalities n stuff, but the older team are cool in its own way too..

well, later,
- Sonic
