True Vibe's See The Light Applauded By Critics

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) September 18, 2002-Essential Records' vocal pop group True Vibe released its sophomore label follow-up, See The Light, August 20th. Since its debut one month ago, the project has received an exceptional response from media, who are applauding True Vibe's artistic growth, and currently ranks among the Top 10 on two major retail and radio charts.

Print and Internet media have been highly receptive to True Vibe's latest album, hailing See The Light for its musical maturity, most notably the project's stand-out vocal performances.

" . . . True Vibe is evolving into a mature, inspirational vocal group that's beyond the boy band fad . . .[o]n this sophomore project, they've achieved a significantly more mature sound, both vocally and instrumentally."
--ChristianityToday.com

" . . .a close listen to [True Vibe's] second disc . . . gives reason to believe the act may have more staying power than some of its counterparts. A growing appreciation for true adult contemporary music is pushing True Vibe to greater heights."
--Musicforce.com

"True Vibe's sophomore project, See The Light, builds on the momentum established by its self-titled debut . . .True Vibe shows growth as performers and songwriters . . ."
--Christian Retailing

"True Vibe's second project packs rich, full vocals with tight, four-part harmonies . . .[its] new music is fun and peppy, its lyrics light and crisp."
--CBA Marketplace

Additionally, See The Light is prospering at radio and retail. A month since its debut, the album remains in the Top 10 on Christian SoundScan's® Top Adult Contemporary Albums chart for the fourth consecutive week. The record's title track and debut radio single also holds in the Top 10, climbing one notch to No. 8 on Radio & Records' Christian Adult Contemporary Top 30 chart.

In support of See The Light, True Vibe recently concluded the "Summer JAM" tour hosted by Reunion Records artist NewSong and featuring guest performers Brother's Keeper, Freddie Colloca, Rachael Lampa and Tait. True Vibe plans to team up with fellow pop artists Plus One, SoulJahz and Phat Chance on a 25-city "Pure Pop" tour this fall, launching in October. The foursome will also be featured in a special news piece aired by NBC regarding the growing popularity of contemporary Christian music.

During its debut year, True Vibe sold more than 180,000 units and performed before an estimated audience of two million. Its self-titled recording was the year's highest-selling debut when it released in May 2001 and sparked the multi-format No. 1 hit song "Now and Forever." True Vibe later added to its radio success the No.1 single "Sweet Jesus" and two Top 5 songs "Jump, Jump, Jump" and "You Are The Way." In addition to appearances on the Radio Disney Live! World Tour 2001 and The CoverGirl Model Experience Contest, True Vibe performed the national anthem for one occasion of ABC's Monday Night Football and other NFL, NBA and major league baseball events. Furthermore, True Vibe was featured on the soundtrack album for the 2001 Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon Movies animated feature film, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" and the title cut to the 2001 Miramax film "On the Line" with *NSYNC's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone.
