(Nashville, TN) September 12, 2002- Ardent rock band Justifide is a featured artist on the national major-market Scream tour this fall, which officially kicked off this week. Joining a diverse line-up, which includes Grits, KJ-52, Big Fat Jam, and Jonah33, Justifide is touring in support of its upcoming sophomore release, The Beauty Of The Unknown, set to release December 24.
Starting in Grovetown, GA on September 10, the Scream tour will traverse the nation, playing a variety of venues from churches to clubs. The tour will hit such key markets as Minneapolis (9/26), Kansas City (9/27), Indianapolis (10/6), Louisville (10/13), Richmond (10/17), Chicago, (10/19), Cleveland (10/20), Dallas (10/25), Lubbock (10/26), and Phoenix (11/1). A full tour itinerary is listed below.
In addition to performing some of the new material on the Scream tour, fans will have several opportunities to sample material from The Beauty Of The Unknown before it hits shelves on December 24. “Pointing Fingers (I Don’t Care),” one of the singles from the new album, can be found on the Simply Groovy compilation in local Christian bookstores across the country. The song can also be heard on the Internet at
www.simplygroovy.com.
“We're happy the new record is coming out on Christmas Eve, because our families will have a gift to unwrap from us on Christmas Day!", laughs bassist Sambo Moncivaiz. On a more serious note, Sambo continues, "We were able to put more time into this album and we're hoping that people will like it."
Garnering three Top 5 hits on R&R’s Christian Rock charts and two Dove Award nominations, one in the Hard Music Recorded Song Of The Year category for “9 out of 10” and another in the Hard Music Album Of The Year category for their critically acclaimed debut album, Life Outside The Toybox, fans and media alike can expect more great music from the group. Having released its debut project as teenagers, Justifide will feature a more mature sound, musically and lyrically, on The Beauty Of The Unknown.
“I am really excited about the direction that we took with the new project. The lyrics have a more universal appeal, and the music doesn’t have as much rap-core. We laid down some big harmonies on the tracks with the guitars and drums driving it in the background,” states lead vocalist Jason Moncivaiz. “We have been playing some of the new songs at our shows, and the fans are really digging it.”
