my manager is a music freak who finds a ton of weird stuff, then nicely burns it for me,so i've been listening to qotsa for a while.they are pretty cool,it's liek "garage metal" the strokes meet a perfect circle.

dave grohl is a rhythm machine

their new album is cool i like the way it is setup like a radio broadcast, cool stuff

From theprp.com:

Quote:
MTV has confirmed the recent rumors that the Queens Of The Stone Age have in fact parted ways with both founding member Nick Oliveri, and recently recruited drummer Joey Castillo. Oliveri appears to have been replaced by Van Conner of Screaming Trees fame, while Castillo is said to have been replaced by Barrett Martin, also of Screaming Trees fame.
Bah, I was hoping that they would bring Dave Grohl back on drums. Who else thinks that Dave Grohl should disband the Foo Fighters and just join QOTSA full time? This is a bad ass band, extremely bad ass with Dave Grohl on drums.

Not a big fan of either band. But I think the Fighters of Foo are a better band for Grohl to be in. And GEEZ this thread is old.

It's too bad I'm the only person I know that listens to the Screaming Trees. But now I can tell people that they are now Queens of the Stone Age (because three of the four of them are) and maybe people will listen.

No way. Grohl the drummer >>>>>>>>>> Grohl the guitarist/singer.
