I'm a big fan of using more than 1 keyboard at a time. I played with a Christian rock band once, and I pulled all the stops! I had a Korg Triton on the bottom, mainly for its Attack Piano sound, an okay Yamaha on top with a really good rock organ sound; on the left I had a Casio that I conected to a keybaod sound module behind me for this really great piano strings sound. I also had a laptop with an effects program plugged into the Casio at one point. In the end I used all of them except for the laptop, but it just gives you more options. I hate it when people have, like a Korg and use only 2 sounds all the time. You've got to experiment. It always pays off in the end. I know I probably sound like a total geek now, but once gain, you haven't heard me play... It's all good. I like this section of the boards though... More keyboard enthusiasts!

Yes, I used to, and it worked on several songs, but then the worship team I was in fell apart and since one keyboard (a Clavinova) was the church's and the other (a Korg N1) was the drummer's, I am now group-less and keyboard-less (besides a Roland stage piano and a useless Casio).:ksad:

I had so much fun and some great personal/spiritual growth while it lasted. I want that Korg keybd, tho. :kshifty:

uh, doesn't GAS stand for GUITAR Aquisition Syndrome, or is there something i'm missing, or is it just used universally?

I've always thought it meant "Gear Acquisition Syndrome". So yeah, it can be used universally.

In His love,
Nate

Have you guys ever heard of Paul Todd?
He's is considered one of the best keyboardests in the world.
He lives near where i do, and plays at my church sometimes.
He has toured with people like MWS and others (that i can't remember).
But, yeah, he uses like 5 or 6 keyboards at a time, he's awesome to watch.

NICE! That would be cool to watch. Never heard of him though. Ever heard Dino? Its conventional piano, but hes really good. Think the Hallejuiah Chorus to a disco beat. Thats the old stuff though. New is better.

I use two keyboards, after a while it gets easier and is almost like just playing one

Nate, I like playing with an organ sound on the upper keyboard and piano on the lower. We know this one surfing song that sounds great with it...
