Advertisers promise it…
We look for it in our relationships with people but how many of us ever really find it?

I am sure that many of you are familiar with the story of the dog that let go of the bone in his mouth to get the bone he saw in the reflection? In the end he was left with nothing.

We chase many images and reflections in our society. After all, we are known as an "image based" society. What does this say or offer to someone looking for real substance? Sadly, little or nothing. We do the same thing if we, in the church offer a pure "image" but there is little or no REAL substance. As we pull back the images we choose others to see rather than the real people we are then God is ultimately seen as our ONLY hope and source for peace, joy, love…. in short…Satisfaction.
