So really, "What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?"
It's quite simple:
Drag on a body in a fluid is:
D = 1/2 (Cd*pi*r^2*rho*Vo^2) Cd = coefficient of drag of the swallow pi = 3.1415... r = radius of bird cross-section (approximating as a circle) rho = viscosity of air Vo = velocity For steady state flight, D (drag) = T (thrust), so:
------------------------------
| Vo = sqrt(T/Cd*pi*r^2*rho) |
------------------------------ |

| oh no!!!! ... i actually forgot to post in here yesterday ... so here ya go ... 2 days in one ... arent ya soooooo lucky ...
sept 10, 2002 7:11 pm
so ... yesterday ... well i got up at 8 and went to calc at 9:30 ... we had a quiz ... (which i did very well on :kgrin ... then it was back to my room for a loverly 2 hours till my next class ... mostly i was on the puter then ... then i went to my bowlin class at 1 ... that was sooooooo much fun ... im very excited i decided to take this class ... i will actually get better at my bowlin ... :kgin: ... so after that was done with i came back to my room ... from here i got "the cutting edge" out and popped it into the dvd player and sat down to watch it ... while watchin it i got a call from nate tellin me that he was on his way up here ...
HAPPY!!!!!!! ... so about an hour later he shows up at my apt door ... he got to watch the last 5 mins of my movie ... isnt that great ... then we checked on some concerts that we are interested in goin to ... than we headed over to step and tiffs room so that nate and tiff could help each other out on their hw ... when it got on to about 5:30 tiff and step came over to my apt to see it ... and then tiff, steph, and nate went to wally world and i headed off to my 6:00 class ...
we got outta class an hour early so i headed back to my room and got ready for bed ... then i got a loverly suprise ... nate left a card for me after i left ... :kgrin: ... it was sooooooooo sweet ... i actually almost started cryin ... *sigh* ... i know im pathetic ... so ne ways ... i was layin in bed and nate called me ... we stayed on the phone for about 30 mins and then off to sleep i went ...
now today ...
i woke up at 7 got ready for classes and headed off to english ... then i went to calc 2 ... there i found out that i got a 19/20 on my quiz ... HAPPY!!!! ... then i headed off to hist ... in hist ive been talkin to the gurl that sits next to me ... and today i found out that she was a christian ... so that was totally cool ... :kgrin: ...
that was my last class ... so i headed back to my apt ... i got me a pb and j sandwich and sat at the puter and checked my email ... then i hit the books and did my calc 2 hw ... that only took me about 10 mins ... so then i laid in my bed tryin to take a nap ... around 3 nate called me ... :kgrin: ... HAPPY!!!! ... so we talked for about 30 mins till he had to head off to class ... so after we hung up i headed for wally world (wal mart) ...
suprisingly i spent an hour there ... and i bought next to nothin ... oh well ... that killed an hour ... i got back and started readin my hist for the test we have in like 2 or 3 weeks ... :kroll: ... might as well ... theres 3 passages we have to read ... and its like 50 pages total ... i dont wanna have to read that the day before the test ... *sigh* ... so that took like an hour or 2 ... till i started fallin asleep ... so the rest is for a later date ... :kstare: ... then i hit the puter and have been at that since ... but now i must go and get super and get ready for bed ... my eyes are hurtin from lookin at the screen so much ... :kspin:

| hehe... action.. distance of the strings from the neck.... if they were right next to the next but just as tight they'd be easy to push down..

sept. 11, 2002 9:09 am
well after my last post last night i crawled in bed and called my mommy ... we talked for about 30 mins ... i was just really in need of some human voices right about then ... so after i got off the phone with her i wrote a bit in my journal ... well its not really a journal ... but i guess it could be ... basically all i do is put what im feelin into words in the shape of a poem ... so basically i wrote a poem ... after i was done with that i read for an hour ... im tryin to finish up "the path of daggers" ... im over half way through now ... so im doin good ... i guess thats a good thing about not havin ne one to really talk to over here ... i get a lot of readin done ... so about 10 i decided i was just gonna lay in bed and wait for nate to call me ... he finally wound up callin me at 10:30 ... we talked till 11 ... and then i went night night
today i woke up at 8:30 ... and am still gettin ready for my 10:00 class ... so i best be goin ... cuz its a 15 min walk to get there and it is now 9:14 ... so i need to finish up soon ... have a grrrrrrrrrrrrreat day all!!!!!

YES!!! ... i actually talked to one of my roomies ... isnt that grrrrreat ... then i went and had me a snack cuz i wanted to eat early for dinner ... so ... ne ways ... while eatin my snack i hopped on the puter and started checkin into some things ... i also talked to my kt and danni on aim ... then i got off to get ready for my bowlin class ... after i was finished gettin ready i still had like 10 mins left ... so i picked up my guitar and started practicin ... then it was time to go ...
durnin bowlin class i started talkin to this guy ... or well ... he started talkin to me ... (geeze ... i dont know his name either :kroll ... so ne ways ... i was doin my best to help him out with his bowlin ... so i gave him a few pointers ... ne ways ... he seems to be real nice ... i might actually have another friendship on the way here ... YEA!!!!! ... so ne ways ... bowlin class is over now ... and i did some more practicin on my guitar ... so i think i might go and eat now ... im kinda hungry since i didnt eat lunch ... enjoy the rest of the day!!!!!!

so i made it to english right on time ... in calc 2 i was increadly bored ... we went over the disk and washer method again for the 3rd day ... so i went ahead and started refreashin myself with the shell method and then started on the homework for that ... then i went to history ...
