New BLEACH Project Rocks To The Beat Of Critical Acclaim, Single Goes Top 5

(Nashville, TN) August 27, 2002– Award-winning, Tooth & Nail recording artist Bleach is receiving widespread critical acclaim for its fourth album, Again, For The First Time, which releases today. After taking nearly three years off since the release of their self-titled and third album, Bleach is at it again with a fresh new project, striking a chord with their fans and media alike.

Guideposts For Teens gives the album their highest rating of four ears, beating popular mainstream acts Sheryl Crow and the Goo Goo Dolls (with two and three ears, respectively). “Bleach’s powerful guitars, hard-driving bass lines, and speaker-wrecking drums fully support the band’s excellent lyrics and vocals… Bleach’s music is downright explosive,” writes reviewer Jeff Battersby.

The Phantom Tollbooth states, “…Again, For The First Time actually seems like a better CD than Weezer’s Maladroit… The lyrics are where Bleach has Weezer beat. Here we find a level of honesty that is instantly appealing. The songs feel like they were written by real people and have words that mean what they say.”

CCM raves, “…Bleach’s fourth time around is as raw and fresh as a college rock band’s debut. The listener is treated to a live, modern rock ‘n’ roll vibe that equals or bests any of Bleach’s previous projects.”

Acaza.com rages, “Bleach hasn’t missed a beat with with this album… The guitar riffs are crunchy, the drum beats are clean, and the hooks are catchier than ever… It won’t take you long to get these songs stuck in your head.”

Webrock.net says, “Fans of the band’s earlier projects, and of their live shows, will have no trouble sinking their teeth into Again, For The First Time... Again, For The First Time is a cool album that is chock full of good vibrations.”

Gospelsite.net states, “Put plain and simple, each song on this album delves deep with killer rock melodies making for purely enjoyable listening…Lyrically, Bleach connects intuitively with the listener, aptly expressing a range of human experience with simply poetic words.”

JesusFreakHideout.com exclaims, “When anticipating an upcoming album from your favorite group, you always hope for the best; that’s understandable. But more then less, the best never seems to show up… But with Bleach the dream has come true… true followers will welcome Bleach again whereas the unlucky few can have another chance to fall in love, for the first time. The rock and roll Jedi’s are back!”

1340mag.com writes, “This album rocks. Tracks like ‘Baseline’ and ‘We Are Tomorrow’ shout, ‘Play me right after you get done playing Jimmy Eat World,’ to radio DJ’s. And that should be the crowd that Bleach is associating with very soon. It’s nice to see this hard-working band finally put out the album that they have shown the potential to do for the past 8 years.”

In addition to critical acclaim, Bleach’s debut radio single from Again, For The First Time, “We Are Tomorrow,” is No. 5 and climbing on Radio & Record’s Christian Rock chart. The song is up three places from the previous week and continues to gain momentum as evidenced by positions in R&R’s Most Added and Most Increased Plays lists.
