This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Three of my top favorite bands are "A" bands:

Anberlin
Aaron Sprinkle
The Almost

In that order. They are all T&N bands.

Technically, Aaron Sprinkle would be an "S" artist.

I'm really digging The Agony Scene.

The best "A" band in the history of Christian music is AD, who released four albums between 1984 and 1988.
The band was Kerry Livgren (of Kansas fame) on guitar and keyboards, Dave Hope (also from Kansas) on bass, Warren Ham (of Bloodrock fame) on vocals, flute, saxophone and keyboards, Michael Gleason on vocals and keyboards, and Dennis Holt on drums. (Gleason toured with Kansas for Vinyl Confessions and Ham toured with Kansas for Drastic Measures).
Time Line (1984) and Art of the State (1985) were the only two albums to feature all the band members. Warren Ham did not participate on Reconstructions (1986) and Kerry Livgren and Warren Ham were the only two who participated on Prime Mover (1988) (although everyone except Gleason toured for the album).
Michael Gleason went on to record several solo albums, as did Warren Ham. Kerry Livgren recorded several solo albums, as well, and is currently in the band ProtoKaw. Dave Hope joined the clergy. Dennis Holt, who's an amazing drummer, has played for a number of artists over the years.
AD has been pretty much forgotten by CCM, but what they did in the mid-1980's was exceptional.
