Even though the guy doesn't like you doesn't give you the right to try and get him to like you even less. Trust me on this one. Quote: Originally posted by Art In unrelated news... I am now trained to shove a tube down your throat when you can't breathe. How cool is that? It's called a Combi-tube. It isn't like regular intubation. I only wish I could do that. I also got to operate a bag valve mask for the first time today. That was awesome. I have to practice on that a lot, because it really isn't very easy. Hopefully on Monday I am going to go down to the Paramedic's quarters to practice that and CPR. That would be awesome. I LOVE the hands on stuff. I really want to get this stuff, because I want to be able to do it when I go out on my ridealongs starting two weeks from saturday. Apparently, I'll probably just have to do a lot of blood pressures, though. | In related news to this, I got my NLS recertified last night (lifeguarding). I forgot most CPR and First Aid stuff, but I still passed. I guess it's just because my pia carries always had the guy's (who was bigger than me, btw) shoulders out of the water. Quote: Originally posted by Art I just found out when I made my credit card payment. 29 days before it was due. Wow, I'm cool for that. What does this mean to me now? I'm going to make a payment now. Extra room on the card for the trip, plus I don't have to worry about a payment a month from now. Rockin. | It was funny. On the last time I checked my online statement, I had a balance of -$260. I decided I needed to mostly pay my statement before going away on the cruise... It was a good deal.
If only someone else would pay it for me... yeah right.

Ohhh! I *should* have a check in the mail tomorrow... and I can go deposit it and stuff... and then I will know exactly how much money I have for my trip, and how much needs to be saved for bills and stuff. Budgeting is FUN! I should have at least $100 for the trip... but I am hoping to have about $250... because if I do, I am renting a car on that sunday, and meeting Rach. Coolness ensues. | Dear, you need to let me know asap about that Sunday....
But YAY!

| Ahhh, another day.
I got my check YESTERDAY, but didn't find that out until today. So, I got it today
I was having trouble sleeping, and was way too awake at an earlier time than I normally get up... which was good. I got a phone call right around then. The guy was coming out to interview me about Jeff.
So, I got up and showered, and 45 minutes later a guy from the government showed up. Normally, it would be someone from the department of defense or the FBI, but when they are backed up, it gets put on these other guys... I think he was from the Department of the Interior or something cool like that. Anyhow, I got asked about all kinds of stuff, and it was cool. Then, he also asked me about Eric, Jeff's friend who we also went to high school with, who is also in the Air Force now. Killing two birds. Interesting.
After that was over, I took off for Reno. That was goodness.
My first stop was the music store. ALways a good time. I played some nice Yamaha acoustics. I like those. I might have to get one if my plan to get a Taylor falls through. Anyhow, the point was to get picks, and some strings for my brother. Ernie Ball Super Slinky electric guitar strings. Fun. I got 15 .60 Dunlop picks. I love them.
Next, off to the bank. Boring.
Best Buy! I love that store. I played Gran Turismo 2 for a while. I love that game, and I would consider buying a PS1 (They are only $50!) JUST for that game. Yes. Then, I looked at car stereos... nice stuff. Then, CDs. The "gospel" section SUCKED, and didn't have Brave Saint Saturn OR Switchfoot... so I decided to check the "Rock" section. They had Switchfoot. SCORE! And not only that... but I got The Beautiful Letdown for $10! Nice. SO I bought that.
Next was His Word, the Christian bookstore. There was only one reason to be there. Brave Saint Saturn. ON SALE! $11. Their CDs are normally all $18. JOYFULNESS! So I got that.
Next, I was off to... Hmm.... Carl's Jr. AWESOMEness in that guac burger. Definitely. It was BIG though. They need to put guac on smaller burgers too.
I backtracked a bit... wasted some time finding out that I have to have all of the original parts to return my car stereo. (I have them all... they just weren't with me) So I went to Target. I was mostly just browsing there... killing time and being alone with my thoughts. I did get a couple of small things there.
Next, I was off to the mall, and Sears. Why? I had over $8 left on a gift card from Christmas. Score! So, I decided to get a dress shirt for the wedding. I have a white one, but I wanted a NEW one. I ended up goign with an awesome green/gray one. It is going to be perfecto with my cool tie that I got at sears at a different time. So, it came out to an entire $3. Yay for me! Then, I just walked around the mall... looked at cell phones and covers... Checked out the sports store... jerseys and shorts and whatnot... (They want $60 for replica Kings shorts! And the only Kings jersey they had was Mike Bibby, which I do want... but $70! Whoa! But in all fairness... they are all nice embroidered logos and names and sewn on numbers... MUCH nicer than what Reebok is making this year)... looked for cheapo games at Electronics Boutique... no go on that one. I REALLY wanted to get the new Zelda game today, but I wasn't spending money other than CDs, so I had to pass But it was fun to window shop in the mall. Then, I came home!
Here at home, I chatted with Elizabeth and Rach (individually) for quite a while. And Sean. he just left a minute ago. So I've been listening to my two new CDs. They are both AWESOME! My cd collection has gotten a FANTASTIC boost in the last few weeks. A much needed one, too. Next, I think I need to check out Jeremy Camp.
So, that was the BORING junk entry for the month. I'm sorry that it was so boring.
I NEED to figure out a way to record with people still home. Definitely. I'm getting kind of restless about this. And I need to finish the lyrics to Richard's song, and get to work on some new stuff of my own. Definitely. I do have one original to record, though. It's a lame and silly song. THe problem is, I HAVE to use my mom's computer. It is the one with the software, and the power to edit. Blah. I probably really don't have my songs down well enough to record, but I don't care. That is what my master editing skills are for. My one song that I recorded... WOW I cut that one up and put it back together on the guitar track. Terrible.
Anyhow, this is getting even more boring, I bet. Sorry. Have a nice weekend. |

Other than that, it is a fine store. | I want to clarify something here. I LOVE the store. I HATE the service. It is SUPER annoying to me when I walk into the computer department, as for help, and end up knowing three times as much on the subject as the person working there. That annoys me. That's why I choose to support Moondog Multimedia. and, buying off the internet is great. (Except Mobos and chips) |

| if this weren't someone else's thread...
Anyway, hi Art! I hope you are doing good! Your last purple post wasn't boring at all, it was quite fun to look into your life... I'm always curious what other people do.
So, how would I be able to hear some of those recordings of yours?

Hi Emma! I'm glad that I didn't bore you.
You can listen to one recording of mine... if you are on dial up, be warned that it is a long download. And it sucks. http://www.artbennett.net/sounds/freedom.mp3 Quote: Originally posted by Elizabeth Hi Art! *Waves* | Hi Liz!! *waves back* |
