i've been playing my brother's GBA today, and i'm very unimpressed. I still haven't tried the new SP edition, but the GBA isn't all that great, compared with the color GB or even the old regular GB. I loved playing GB as a child, but i couldn't get into having the buttons on the sides...that was totally wierd....

Haha, I told my brother I was going to Shaq him... I backed him down with my butt, then I accidentally nailed him in the forehead with my elbow when I shot. He said, "Yeah, you Shaqed me."

hahaha, i've had that happen to me all the time...i usually let the guy get down a little bit, then when he raises to shoot, i Mutombo his shot!

wow, Nets won....that was a shocker. looks like it could be a good series after all!

Haha... that's why I don't play like Shaq. I play more like Vlade, in a way. I like to use up and unders, hooks, fake hooks... all the tricky low post stuff.

yeah, thats the hardest to guard down low. most of the pure bangers have no touch around the bucket, so you if you can just force them to take a fairly difficult shot, they miss. Vlade type people just fake you out of oblivion. I have to watch that a lot, cause once i block a person's shot for the first time, the next time they do series of fakes and i have to just put my arms up and not jump until they really jump.

Well, today i woke up at 10, watched sportscenter, and then had some lovely breakfast. Don't have anything planned for today....I'll probably be on here a lot, play ball out sidesome, watch some tv, maybe go to the local BB to pick up some game rentals....

i did some hip flexor rehab drills last night (leg lifts, side leg lifts, etc.). I really need to be doing these every day so i can make sure and let my hip get back to full conidition. Its about 95%, but even having 5% missing could result in a very frustrating track season. I def. don't want that happening.

ouch, i was watching the Cubs-Yankees game on Fox sat. baseball this afternoon, and Hee Sop choi fell and hit his head very hard on the third base line. The game stopped for like 10 minutes as they carried him from a stretcher to an ambulance. Poor guy.

I'm very close to being able to dunk. I tried early this afternoon and barrrrely missed. I'm gonna try again in about 30 minutes.

I can't dunk. I used to be able to grab rim, but that was when I weighed considerably less. Back down there is where I want to be. But yeah, I decided to go with the tricky type moves, because I would get the ball so rarely that I really needed to be making shots when I take them.

yeah, i've been able to grab lots of rim for a while, its just hard to make the transition from grabbing a ton of rim to actually dunking. Its totally different. You have to be able to palm the ball, and i can BARELY do that right now.

Well, its nice cause this summer i have goals for my training program. I want to gain about 15-20 pounds, and increase my strength a lot. I work out about 4 times a week in the weight room and do an assortment of excersises.

yeah, its hard to gain weight, but when you eat a lot of food and have lots of protein, and work out its makes it a ton easier.

I had a great workout today. I did chest, shoulder, and calves today. I was in and out of the gym quickly, it felt really good.

Well, last night i watched the Spurs game while drinking a protein shake. Before i started having them i thought they would be nasty and taste like crap. The shake is actually very good. It tastes lik a chocolate shake.

This mornig i woke up and watched the Price is Right, then took a shower. I'll be busy with errands this afternoon, then tonight i'll hoop some and try to dunk again. I got really close yesterday, and actually dunked one in off the glass.

Please pray for me as I try and discern God's will regarding whether i should play basketball next year. Thanks

yeah, the guy's so old he was doing the show when my dad was a kid. Its quite scary. My mother commented the other day that he looks like they have resurrected him from the grave or something....hahaha

He still does a good job, even if he is 97 years old
