| I was woken up this morning by the words "people are here for the garage sale and not everything is priced!" (from the mouth of my mom), so I hopped out of bed, took a quick shower, and started helping. The garage sale was supposed to start at 9:00, but of course, people showed up early.
My brother and I just got back from a quick trip to the store for milk. I might go into town later, we'll see. There's not really anything to do, but I want to get together w/ my friend Elise, whom I haven't seen in over a month.

| I didn't end up going into town. Oh well. Life still goes on. Our garage sale is pretty much done for the day, so that's nice.
I haven't done anything else newsworthy [yet].

| We watched "The Rookie" last night. Well, it was really just my bro (borderite2000) and me. It was a good movie. I've done nothing to report today.
Yesterday I actually wrote e-mails to people. Yeah, I know, I'm usually good about writing back, but I had some that had been sitting in my inbox for almost 2 weeks.
Okay, I'm off to do who knows what (probably surf CGR some more).

| Aren't Saturdays great? I have done nothing of consequence today, except mixed up some cookie dough and read a book.
Since I'm at a loss for words, I thought I'd tell ya'll about me...I'm the oldest of 4 kids, am 17, have been a Christian since I was 3, I love music, reading, writing, web-surfing, e-mailing, Bible quizzing, being with my friends, laughing w/ them, going to fun retreats, shopping, talking on the phone, youth group and going fun places. Some of my favorites include Robin Jones Gunn, Lori Wick, Francine Rivers, piano, choir, going to camp every summer, sign language, blue, burgundy, silver, white, yellow, purple, Caedmon's Call, Rebecca St. James, Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, "I Can Only Imagine," "We Fall Down," "This Fathomless Love," "God of Wonders," "All in All" and about oh, 10 millon other songs ( ), Chinese, Mexican and Italian food, CGR (of course!).
I'm homeschooled and have been (almost) my whole life, though I'm taking ASL at the community college this fall (w00t!). I want to be a sign language interpretor, author and stay-at-home-mom. I already have names picked out for my kids, too. Joshua Timothy, Jordan Caleb and Bethany Delight. (This sounds wacko, but I love names. I have a huge list of my faves.)
I'll let ya go now...thanks for reading!

| Today I pretty much made a fool out of myself by playing bass on the keyboard at church (our usual bass player was gone). I totally had no idea what I was doing (this was my first time ever), but I survived.
It's also my youngest bros' 13th birthday. He's talked about registering on CGR. We were supposed to have some people over, but he woke up sick. He's feeling better now, though, so we're going to have cake and ice cream soon. Yum!
Sadly, there isn't any youth group tonight, as it starts next week. I miss my youth group friends!!!

| I think that is totally cool that you tried playing some basslines on the keyboard! I'll bet it sounded better than you're giving yourself credit for. YOU ROCK!!!!

| I don't have time to say much, other than today was my last day of work (the candy store closes for the winter), and my best friend is coming over tonight. I've seen her once in the last two months (she was working at a camp), so I'm excited. I also have laundry to fold, so I'd better get at it!

School starts tomorrow. Well, I'm not starting all of my subjects, 'cuz I don't have all my books yet. Boohoo, I'm not ready for summer to leave.

| I did a light day of school today. Just some math, English (I'm reading To Kill a Mockingbird and I really, really like it so far), piano, science and geography. After that stuff was all done, I went for a walk and started memorizing for Bible Quizzing. We're quizzing on John this year, and my goal is to memorize all of it. I'm currently working on chapter 12. We're quizzing on chaps. 12-21 first, since that includes the Passion week, which is the heart of the gospel.
I also watched more of "Anne of Avonlea." As I was thinking about it, I realized what a huge change our culture has gone through since those books took place. Anne is "different" because she wants to be a writer, and isn't married right after highschool. Nowadays, girls are almost expected to have careers before getting married (granted, not so much in the Christian culture); just the opposite!
Anyway, there's my little rant. As someone who wants to get married and be a mom (almost) more than anything, I found it to be an interesting observation.

That was nice reading, thanks!

| Someone get Syl in here so you three can be triplets.
Elizabeth - That's cool you're reading To Kill A Mockingbird.
Now every time Tim shouts Booya - you could yell back "RADLEY!" if you wanted.
Will you be gracing audiences with any more of your rocking keyboard-bassline playing in the future?

(*Watches her church congregation run for cover.*) It looks like I'll play basskeys for our youth group band. I wanted to play a normal keyboard part, but it doesn't look like we'll need it. Ah, well.

| It's really complicated and not worth it to explain, but I meet with a public school teacher (he's also my Sunday School teacher) to talk about school stuff. He's also my supervisor for a correspondence class I'm taking. Anyhoo, I met w/ him for the first time this year this morning. We talked about my senior project...oh joy...actually, since the topic is totally up to me, it shouldn't be too bad. I was going to do it on adoption as an alternative to abortion, but now I think I'm just going to do it on adoption.
My goal for quizzing is to learn John 12 by practice (Tuesday night). So far, I know the first 16 or 17 verses. I should be working on it now, but I'm not.
That's all for now!
