| hm. no. i don't think so. but they load chris up with all these cakes and cookies and goodies and stuff everytime he goes. so there are benefits. but it's cool just hanging out there with chris and myriah and helping while we're at it.

| blah, blah, blah. i'm so bored because i have no one to talk to because no one will sign onto their messengers because it's 10 and they're probably going to bed and i'm stuck here bored with no one to talk to. BUMMER! and tonight was the last night of tcbs for the year. which is really sad. cos that's where my band is. and since we're not having the Bible study, we're not playing and singing for and with the people who come to the Bible study. and i miss it already. i think it's silly how they just stop Bible studies and stuff through the summer. don't we need them then too? public school kids don't even have school to do. that leaves them with plenty of time to study up each week. "oh brother. i think i need a hug." hehe. anyways, i guess i'm going to go find something else to do... hoping someone gets themself on the messenger so i can talk to them... later.

| i posted this a while ago, i think. but the FLOW's coming up! it's really close. so i figured this would be a a good as time as any to post it again.
the band was playing at the FLOW
playing with all their might.
they did their very best to make
the music fill the night.
the voices that the people used
were raised in joyous flight.
the leaders were yawning sleepily
because they thought the band
had no business to play now
after the teaching man.
it’s very late at night, they thought,
but, hey, i guess they can.
the songs were hard as hard could be,
the music filled the sky,
you could not hear your thoughts because
no thoughts were in your mind.
no words were being spoken now,
there was no point to try.
the Hunter and the Carpenter
were playing close at hand.
Chris smiled like anything to hear
the tunage of the band.
if this could just be kept this way,
Jake said, it would be grand.
if we rock on for most the night
into the coming day
do you suppose, Maria asked,
that they would let us stay?
i doubt it, said the Carpenter,
make us leave, they may.
oh Christians come and rock with us!
the Hunter did beseech.
a little rock, a little talk;
we’ll satisfy you each.
and if you do not know the words
then we will gladly teach.
the eldest leader looked at him
but never a word he said.
the eldest leader blinked his eyes
but shook his weary head,
meaning to say he would not leave
even for his home and bed.
so four young Christians hurried up
all eager for the treat.
their clothes were washed, their hair was brushed
their faces clean and neat.
and we were at a camp you know,
so this was quite a feat.
four more Christians hurried up,
and yet another four.
and thick and fast they came at last,
and more, and more, and more,
all screaming for the fastest songs
that ended with a roar.
the Hunter and the Carpenter
played on an hour or so
and then they rested on a song
conveniently low.
and all the little Christians stood
and waited in a row.
the time has come, the Hunter said,
to talk of many things.
of friends, and sin, and purity,
of promises, and rings,
of how we know hell’s boiling hot,
of worship, and what you sing.
but wait a bit, the Christians cried,
before we have our chat.
for all of us are singing loud,
now how could you ruin that?
keep playing, said the Carpenter.
they thanked him much for that.
a good long song, the Hunter said,
is what we chiefly need.
clapping and dancing besides
are very good indeed.
now if you’re ready Christians dear,
your suggestions we need.
play David! all the Christians cried
(the lights turned slightly blue.)
with such spirit, that will be
the perfect thing to do.
gee, golly, wow, the Hunter said
i guess it’s up to you.
but pizza first, Steve Irwin said,
it tastes so very nice.
the Carpenter said nothing but,
bring me another slice.
i wish you were not quite so deaf
i’ve had to ask you twice.
it seems a shame, the Hunter said,
to play them but one more song,
since tomorrow we are leaving,
and it’s gonna be so long…
the Carpenter said nothing but,
and how is that so wrong?
i’ll play for you, the Hunter said,
widening his eyes.
he beat his drums, his eyebrows up,
continuing to rise,
until the expression on his face
reached a most peculiar size.
oh Christians, said the Carpenter,
this’ll be our closing note.
tomorrow we will take our leave
from this beloved boat…
and so concludes the parody
that Morgan Lutheran wrote.
