| *sigh* today i had a whole, long, lovely day for the first time in a looooong time. so i suppose this is reason enough to post an actual journal entry.
[(9am-11am) band/praise and worship practice]
went great! we played a couple of songs we haven't done in a while... we fall down, and heart of worship, which was really great. and then, of course, we had our regularly wonderful, praisefilled practice. while we were there, we met a woman and young lady who are going on a mission trip to Israel in 3 weeks. PRAY FOR THEM!!! that takes a lot of courage.
[(11:30am-2pm) home]
came home, and had a peaceful moment, get this... while my mom and i were in the same room together! *gasp!* amazing! it's too bad that doesn't happen more often. well, after eating some ramen soup and watching some saturday night live, mom and i took off for "The Hem of His Garment," our local Christian thrift shop.
[(2pm-4:15pm) "The Hem"]
so we took off for "The Hem" and had another peaceful moment in the car she even listened to part of my new smashing pumpkins cds!!! well, then she said that billy corgan was singing through his nose and she hates whining, but i ignored that remark and calmly put on the classical radio station. haha. so we shopped at "The Hem" until closing time at 4 and drove home. i bought about 10 mismatched coffee cups for my upcoming coffee party, two pairs of "totally emo" socks , a large purse/small bag, an old marine button up t, and a totally cool belt that's huge and like woven with lots of different colors. fun, fun, fun. and i also rescued a box of old sweaters and fur and leather coats from my grandma, who was planning on dumping them off at "The Hem" too.
[(4:15pm-10pm) home]
came home, and to my greatest surprise, find that 8 of my friends (including brother and sister) are standing in the doorway screaming something about "surprise!" and "happy birthday!" needless to say, it kinda freaked me out for a minute or two before i realized the ingenius plan my sister had been piecing together bit by bit. the evening followed with many games, gifts, homemade commercials, rolling laughter, blaring music, and lots and lots of good food. what a wonderful way to end a wonderful day!

| I'm happy enough I'm happy that you are joyful, though. Joyfully hip. Kinda of like The Tragically Hip. I suppose I could be the Tragically Hip Hop. That would make more sense.
What's with the screen name? |

| ah, well... hm. the first time i ever used it as a screen name i was listening to the Smalltown Poet's song called "Clean". so that was the beginning. then, as i started seeing it more and more in the Bible, it began growing on me and i really developed a liking for it.
("And when He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came to Him, and bowed down to Him saying, 'Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.' And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, 'I am willing, be cleansed.' And immediately his leprosy was cleansed." --Matthew 8:1-3
"Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." --Psalm 51:1-2)
so, yeah, that's where it comes from.
