that and the sound of birds first thing in the morning... right when you wake up... it's not quite warm, not quite cold... still dark, whether because of the blinds being down or the sun isn't fully up yet... that's when peace really becomes obvious.
oh, oh, that and the sound of wind rushing through the trees right before a big storm... when it hasn't started to rain yet, but the tension is building... the sky is dark... green seems to reflect off of everything... the feeling in the air is hard to describe... it's thick, but not really thick along the lines of humidity... it just is... it blows through the trees twisting them in ways you wouldn't think possible... you can hear thunder from someplace far away... and then finally big drops of rain start falling... and after a while... it dwindles down... and then it's over...
i think your other senses play a big part in what your favorite sound is. same with taste, touch, smell, or sight...
i just love them because they are.
what about you?

| Ahhh, I love the sound of a strong waterfall. Of course, I find it too strong to be my absolute favorite. After a while, they give me a headache. So, I have to go with the sound farther down sream. The gentle rush of water over rocks. It melts me.
I love hearing a light breeze through the aspens next door in the summer. It sounds like rushing water. Haha. |

| Mmm... It's nice. But aspens are just annoying in general. They are loud, which is not always good... plus, they have huge root structures, and suck up all the water. |
