Ohh, train whistle blowing. In the middle of the night. It is almost creepy. I like that a lot too. If it was completely creepy, I would not like it. I am sure that you understand how it is.

oh yes. i understand and i love that. in illinois, we lived right near some railroad tracks... they were about half a mile away from my house. at night, when a train would go by, coyotes would howl at it. it was quite eery, and yet quite beautiful. another interesting night sound from illinios was the coal mines... they were strategically placed all around my house... about 5 miles away at least... and they made this strange kind of high pitched humming sound... it wasn't loud or annoying or anything... it just was. you'd have to hear it for yourself to really get it...

Speaking of which, another one of our EMT's, Jessica, was covering for me/Lisa from 11 PM-Midnight, to allow both of us travel time. Well, I was on my way to Portola at 11:05... and there was an ambulance call. I felt so bad for her, but at the same time, I thought it was hilarious. I would have rather been on the call though. I still love going on calls. Which is why I am still crazy enough to actually want to be a Paramedic. Yay.

hey kevin! yeah. i noticed you were gone... i've been alright. and you? yeah. i love thunderstorms. we had a month or so of them a couple years back. the power was out like every other day. it was pretty scary, but pretty awesome too.

ha. i love standing out in the middle of thunderstorms... not in an incredibly unsafe way... just out in them. especially when it's warm outside, and the raindrops are really big and heavy. beautiful.
